I've spent my last three days in a LAN center. In the process of moving, so when it's time to unwind I just come here since we don't have internet at our old place right now.

Anyways, some girl was here playing Diablo 3. Minding her own business. Everyone is playing games to themselves, and her boyfriend comes in pissed.
"Blah blah, look at all the guys here, do you know how hard you're failing me right now?"

She replies, what are you talking about? I'm just sitting here. And she was.

I hear a fleshy smack, and I turn around and the guy is completely swarmed by nerds. Three guys hopped up immediately and took the guy out after he hit the girl.

Go nerds ^.^v

I wasn't in range to get over there, and I wasn't looking. I wish I could've been there to help swam the guy, but I bought the girl some game time so she can chill here longer.

I don't know if it's the fact I have a 6 week old daughter but that really affects me. Wish I could have been there to smack some sense into that guy. Well, actually, I don't really condone/enjoy real violence but I do wish people like that wouldn't exist.

Her problem clearly doesn't end when the game ends.

She needs a new boyfriend.

Might have been his sister. I never hit mine when I was younger, but you know... sometimes it wasn't easy not to.

The owner of the place is chill as hell and she now has an account there with unlimited playing time...forever.
She wasn't as torn up as you'd think she would be, but maybe it was that Diablo 3 addiction kicking in. She went back to farming after a short while. The police came by and took a statement but the guy had taken off after he'd gotten hit. Anything past that is just what I heard the next day but apparently he had a blacked eye and a fat lip. I didn't see the girl the next day, so I hope she's okay.

It was bizarre. Spent a lot of hours there for about a week (it was a father's day gift, unlimited playing time for a week without kids). First time in a place like that and that happens.
