Others have addressed this but I wanted to add my thoughts.
To all those who have been named as suspects, this is not at all an attempt to assassinate your character. When someone makes an accusation as serious as hacking, though, it NEEDS to be done with great accountability and certainty. Because as Lorch very wisely said:
Im only saying everybody should be carefull about accusations. EVERYBODY. Because my own public image could be damaged because of those accusations.
This is pretty serious shit for people, especially casters and players. The evidence Drolets had was NOT enough to go public with. while it appears he was probably right, we need to set a precedent for the correct way of outing hackers without damaging innocent people's careers.
So those listed as suspects, absolutely nothing against you.

Afaik, those accounts get instabanned as soon as the mods see that two accounts share IP or a banned account's IP creates a new account.
Once you're banned you're banned. There's no coming back, unless you work it out with the mods somehow.
You're not allowed to have two accounts.

The person posting likely doesn't have another account here / is a public person. It's possible that they don't ban him just because that would make his claim seem ridiculous.

No offence, but at one point you mentioned that you had almost concluded that it was Lorch, you shouldn't be throwing around such hard accusations without "not digging much" as i quote you. Not to mention you're jokes about his english isn't funny, and it comes off as being simply conceited.

Reading comprehension. He almost concluded it was Lorch. He then said it wasn't. If I say I almost robbed you, but found a better potential victim, can you press charges? No. Promethelax also continued to talk about his investigation, to consider and dismiss, and made that public. This is nothing like Drolets, who makes ONE post with half baked conclusions, and never comes back again, with an outright accusation. Not "I almost think Spades is hacking" but an outright "Spades is hacking". There are no hard accusations here. There is "I think but am not sure" and "X% sure it's not" etc. Not once do I see a "Drolets is + Show Spoiler +!!!!"
As for jokes about his English... well, that's going to happen. Not that Lorch has been completely free of jokes at others expense either, and the writing analysis is part of the "forensic" trail.
As for coming off conceited - c'mon. You're in a thread attached to Gheed's blog. Gheed. What the hell do you expect, love and tolerance for everypony?

Yeah i have a good reationship with Karont3 people (players and stuff). Im not mad with you and I dont feel i was attacked. Is just I think meaby all of us should be pretty sure aout accusation before to post it, thats all.

Yes i agree on this part. What does it matter who this droplet guy is? You judge a person's post by it's contents, not who is posting. A moron posting a backed-up opinion doesn't make the opinion any less valid than it already is. Although i disagree about the part in which spades is a hacker. Suspicious actions of a player doesn't warrant jumping to conclusions. And also there are pros that actually don't think he's a hacker.

I personally find it amazing that a few pieces of "objective" evidence somehow completely confirms the conclusion. It's a lot more rational to say "spades hacking is a probable conclusion given the evidence", but there's enough counter-evidence to support the opposite conclusion. There isn't enough information to know 100% and, much to TL's chagrin, the best conclusion right now is "we don't know".
When the mods closed the original drolets thread intrigue said they were waiting for E3's conclusion to discuss a possible outing. It would be quite the "Scooby-Doo moment" to take the monster mask off the villain and see the face of Old Man Jenkins. Wouldn't it be a twist if it turned out to be Gheed???

Came here to ask this. There was supposed to be a statement after some TL staff comes back from E3 (Nazgul, I guess?) but there doesn't seem to be anything like this and Spades got banned.
