Dogs instead, but they bond with you just as much, if not more. And I'm about to lose 1 dog in any time within the next year or 2 max. 14 year old dog that has grown up with me. She just lost the ability to use her back right leg effectively to walk and I was forced to go to school a few minutes late because I had to help her go up and down the steps even more than usual (before it was just balance loss, now it might be something more). It is amazing how much older dogs look than my fellow students when they are about the same age in human years. | ||

Luckily you don't have to give birth to another one! Hooray animal companions! They're wonderful beings. Neighborhood cats come at night to stalk my tomcat, the last of my three cats. I think I have a shot of him in the "Pictures of your pets" thread. | ||
