I'm sitting in a class and I'm pretty bored. Which one are you saying? Don't worry, I'll tell you later. This teacher just goes on and on and I'm pretty tired and don't really wanna hear it to be honest : /

Ok, now on to the class. It's entitled "8th Century Hebrew Prophets". I'm a biblical literature major and so I sit in a lot of these types of classes. Not all are as boring as this one. In fact, I really like this professor, it just seems like today I'm not into it. My favorite biblical literature class was probably one that covered the book of Luke. I can't remember the name of it right now : /

OK so he's talking about who wrote Isaiah 13-23. Some think it was a later editor, some think it was actually Isaiah. Was it originally apart of the prophets message? I DON'T REALLY CARE. I mean, I should, but ask me after 10 and then I might care. Certainly not before 9. I don't care about anything before 9 A.M.

okok, I lied. I care about Starcraft 2. I got up this morning and watched some VODs. I also cast, you should check out my youtube channel if your bored at work: youtube.com/imjorman040991

But I don't wanna just self advertise. I wanna chat! What's up with you guys? Why aren't you paying attention at work/school/whatever your supposed to be doing?

Right now, he's talking about Babylon as the great enemy. I think it's sad Babylon gets a bad rap. Not very nice of them to enslave Israel forever, but hey, we all make mistakes! What do you guys think about it? If your like me, that's right, you guessed it, YOU DON'T CARE.

Who's your favorite Starcraft player? Mine dashes back and forth between HuK and Jinro. Jinro was the first pro SC2 player I have ever watched (GSL Jan. when he went RO4); however, I really like HuK just because he's a hard working guy. I think it's HuK. I'm glad I thought I that out with you guys. Sometimes you just have to get away from your first impressions.

Remember earlier when I said that I only cared bout Starcraft 2? Yeah I lied again. I have an awesome girlfriend that I like too. I'm planning on marrying her someday (everybody go "d'awwww") heh. ME? A married man? Yeah, it's crazy cray (That's my take on cray cray). I hope she will let me listen to the music I like. Yeah, I like all kinds. Not that fake "oh I like all kinds", but I seriously do. I have a spotify playlist (I'll share if you want it!) that literally has every type of music on it. It's so cool. (Of course it's cool, I made it).

Bleh, are you really still reading this? I still have an hour of this class left. It's only been thirty minutes! Yeah, this class goes from 8:40 - 10:10. I'm in the Eastern Standard Time (EST). That's a sucky time zone to live in if you like to watch GSL. I get up at 4:10!!! I wish I lived in California or something so that I could just stay up late.

Oh speaking of California, I really wanna live there someday. I want to attend grad school out there and hopefully my girlfriend will join me! Go west young man (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Go_West,_young_man). Man, I'm bored.

I hope I'm not making anyone angry. I JUST ANSWERED A QUESTION IN CLASS. That felt good. He asked, I jumped right on that. He asked what the sins of the Babylonian King was in Isaiah 14:12-13. It's not a proclamation of Satan's origin as many people would think. You gotta read that stuff in context dawg!

Man, I wanna do something cool someday. What's on your bucket list? Here's mine:
Look at sharks in the pacific through a shark cage
Live with the homeless for a week
Go to Italy
See the northern lights
Get a PhD
Publish a book
Compete in a bodybuulding show
Visit Korea
Live in a foreign country for a year
Parasail

Do you think that is doable? I sure hope so; notice, I put "Visit Korea" and "Live in a foreign country for a year" How sick would it be if I could do both in Korea?

Yeah, now it is 9:21 EST. What time is it where you are? Are you just waking up, going to bed, or perhaps in the middle of your day? What do you do all day? No shame in doing nothing; in fact, I wish that's what I was doing. I'll be doing some reading, running, and casting after classes today. What are your post-work/class plans? What

I JUST PARTICIPATED AGAIN. We were talking about gap theory and how people misinterpret Isaiah 14:12-13. That text is one of the greatest supports of gap theory. But, for it to be effective, that verse has to be interpreted incorrectly.

heh, learning stuff today.

I think I'm done for now. I'll update later if I get bored again hah

Oh that's no fun And thanks for liking my thoughts!

What does a network simulation routine involve? Do you just like "start" something and let it run, or is there like stuff you need to constantly monitor/stay on top of.

Agreed. I love it when the blogs here are like this. Absolutely hate it when it's just some sensationalist opinion on current SC affairs.

Yeah blogging can get pretty addictive, I don't even know if I should be ashamed or proud that I have probably created the most blogs on TL (especially given the time I've been on TL)

Make more :D
Don't try to do anything fancy, just keep it natural, like this one.

Yeah the best part about writing a blog is to see all the insightful and informative comments afterwards.

I think it's only addictive for a certain people, and I'm def not one of them. 50% of my first year computing course is based on blogging, the other 50% is the final, yet 4 weeks till the final, I haven't started my blogs yet.

What does a network simulation routine involve? Do you just like "start" something and let it run, or is there like stuff you need to constantly monitor/stay on top of.

Well there are generally 4 stages to what I do (not exactly official or textbook style, but it's generally what happens).
1. Pre-run: check parameters such as simulation resolution, iteration seeds, resource usage, etc.
2. Run: observe that the network is performing as intended, priority rules, conflicts, congestion, etc.
3. Analyze: the software churns out a couple different output files, I just dump them all on my amazing super-macro magical excel sheet and magic happens and I get a bunch of useful stats out of it
4. Modify: tweak out the observed errors from step 2, and adjust network configurations for next run.

Repeat until... all calibration goals are met!

So yeah, it does require attention, but by the 300th run or something I know the network inside out so I can zone out, browse TL, chat on TS, and generally slack off until the simulation is finished.

Hey I am currently living one year abroad and in Korea. I am here as an high school exchange student. Although you hear a lot of horror stories about how bad HS is here. It really isn't that awful and I would highly recommend anyone to come to Korea it is absolutely amazing.

Also my fav SC2 player is Huk aswell! LoL player would be Doublelift or SV. lub clg.

Right now I am lying in my bed about to go to sleep, and about to start listening to APink's new album.

I like the randomness of your blog, its cool. Hope you can go to Korea and everything GLGL.

Your experience is skewed because you're an exchange student. I think you should keep in mind that your presence changes a lot how people will act and talk in front of you. Also your workload and expectations are a lot lower compared to the average Korean student so what you're actually going through isn't what an average high schooler in korea goes through. Hard to really make a claim like yours since its based off only your experience as an exchange student. I'm not trying to say what you said is right or wrong but its something to take note of.

rofl. I like it to be honest. Just AM classes don't sit well with me usually, and add to that the fact that i was up unusually late last night for some homework; just a bad day for my focus.

I want to be a professor with my degree. I plan on getting a masters in theology and then eventually a PhD. Predominately, I wanna do research for the benefit of the Church and humanity. It's a lot of school for something that might just not work out, but it's something I really enjoy and want to spend my life doing.

But yeah, a level 90 priest would be cool as hell. I'd spec shadow, of course.

Sounds like your only problem is that you're studying biblical literature.

Doable? Are you kidding? I don't think i've ever seen a bucketlist quite so easy to accomplish. Get some loftier goals man! Replace PhD with 'become leading authority of my field', trip to Italy with 'trip around the world' etc. What's the point of aspiration if it's within immediate reach?

"I hope she will let me listen to the music I like." Wtf, since you claim you genuinely like all music, wouldn't that mean you hope she'll not forbid music entirely? Can't you just skip a track when she doesn't feel like listening to the screamo in your playlist?

Sorry for the negative tone in my reply, it's just a defense mechanism. You seem to have such a clear grasp of what you want out of life and that's provocative to a lot of people. We want to be able to just say "good for you" and move on, but we can't because that would imply it'd probably be good for us as well. Perhaps one day i'll be mature enough to accept that people find happiness in different ways and not look down on them even if it's the "wrong way". Maybe i'm more the zealot in my spiteful campaign to deny others happiness than you in your quest to "benefit the Church and humanity".

Live life be happy, whatever. Prejudiced motherfuckers like myself will always be around, don't let us get you down.

I'm sooooo so so so bored at work. It was nice to be entertained by someone else's boredom and random thoughts. Your class sounds strange, I can't imagine spending that much time delving through biblical passages, most especially before 10am. Coffee would be the only medicine I can think of for that.

I've done a few things on your bucket list:
- Have lived in a foreign country for 1+ years (I'm from New Zealand but have lived in the UK for last 6 years)
- Have seen the northern lights (dude, one of the highlights of my existence!)
- Go to Italy (done that 3 times now - I'd recommend Rome if you only have 1 shot, such an amazing city)

Don't let anyone knock your bucket list, but don't be afraid to add to it

For the northern lights, I saw these with my girlfriend in the north of Norway (a place called Tromso), and it was pretty damn cold (-13 degrees Celsius). What's hard to realise until you've done it, is that the effect of them is magnified in photo, that's where you see the layers of colour. To the naked eye, the effect is nowhere near as strong but there is something almost heart stopping about seeing these lightly green tinged cloud like shapes moving and pulsating over the sky. I tried to get some good photo's but they came out crap. Once my camera batteries ran dry I was able to take some time to observe with my eyes, and I'm glad I did that

Anyway, back to my boring job.
