So I was just watching this video, of Paster Sean Harris encouraging parents to physically abuse their children, should they show any homosexual tendencies.
I actually got pretty pissed off, so much so that I started grinding my teeth in the middle of the video. This man is a sicko. I imagined myself in that church that day, so I could stand up, walk up to the altar and announce to the entire congregation that the bigot presently speaking to them, of all people in the world, deserves to be locked up. Just to be utterly disrespectful to him, treat him like the piece of shit he is, and tell everyone that any god that hates people just for loving the wrong gender is not a god they should have ANYTHING to do with.
And then I'd set him on fire LOL :D

Okay, seriously, though, what do you guys think would happen if someone were to actually interrupt a pastor's sermon and start shouting, loudly, that the pastor was actually a piece of shit? Would that person make it out alive? Is it even legal? Seriously considering doing it if I'm ever in this kind of situation.

Fuels the fire to act against them in such a way, imo. Typically, it seems that religious zealots relish the opportunity to preach to their followers and fellow extremists about the ways in which the forces of evil stand against their movement. Anything that they can spin into an "attack against our God/Movement/Morality/Religion/People" will be turned into an chance for glorious martyrdom in the face of the secular, hateful oppressors. Christian zealots do it, Jewish zealots do it, Muslim Zealots, Hindu, Celtic, whatever, they all use this same rhetorical ploy.

I'd probably just listen to the whole thing and be amused by his stupidity. Nothing to gain by getting into a quarrel during a sermon.

How can you not? A moron running his mouth is pretty fun to watch. It's like a comedy show but in real time. But this is after years of excruciating *palmface* reactions that I've had in the past. Eventually you just, like I said before, shrug it off then be amused by the entire episode. Maybe I'm just a weirdo.

Do you think people watch the Three Stooges for intellectual stimulation? Humor is often found among the idiotic. The key, however, is make sure that you're intentionally playing dumb for the sake of humor, and not just stumbling into it naturally.
