Only way you'll be able to do this is if you get rid of your computer.

I have wet dreams when I don't fap for too long. Also you'll want to balance fapping with waking up every morning thinking about girls.
I think in our modern age technology has evolved to become more addictive. The things that don't give us pleasure aren't used as much. Work was never meant to be fun, but doing it makes us happier in the long run.

Dude. This isn't right. You're just going to procrastinate sleeping in bed.
See you tonight.

I'd start with just the no fap part. I found it works wonders for my mood and productivity. Wonders.

People react differently to these exercises, depending on their hormonal balance and previous habits. If you try all the NOs at once and feel good, how would you know you wouldn't have felt just as good with only one of the NOs? Try them one at a time, each for a couple of weeks and see how it goes. It's possible going for no fap would lead to other behavioural changes that you didn't intend but that you would welcome.

No smoking is going to be the hardest out of all these. I know when I have two hours with nothing to do, smoking is going to fill them up.

I think that instead of trying to completely cut out these forms of entertainment from your life, you should draw a very clear line between entertainment and work. For instance, I don't have a phone. At all. I never really needed it, and when I am out and about in the day, I am experiencing reality; it's actually quite amusing to me, because I would definitely be considered "geeky" and a "technofreak," but in reality, I spend way less time with technology than most people because of the simple fact I don't own a MP3 player or phone.

I guess I am saying get rid of your phone, and if you must use one, get a good ol' brick. No stupid fucking iPhones.

So basically, no activities that you enjoy and find relaxing? Sounds like your eliminating what gives you joy in life for some artificial sense of achievement.

Enjoy existing, I suppose. Without the little egocentric time wasters, I feel life's not life at all, but postponed death.

One could argue that the things he is allowing himself to do are wasted time as well.

If one enjoys faps and games, its not a waste. Entertainment is necessary to stay happy. You can't turn yourself into a productivity machine.

This seems fine if you want to live your life only to satisfy others. If that's not your goal, fuck man, just do things you enjoy. Time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time.

I have done this before but not quite to that extent. I didn't know how it would turn out at first, but after I started doing things I'd been putting off, I felt WAY better about myself. Let's face it: Internet, video games and TV are HUGE time wasters. When I cut those things out, suddenly I had TONS of time to do all sorts of shit. Suddenly I was going to bed at a reasonable hour, reading books/learning, practicing music, getting repairs done on my car/house, working out, meditating, doing more outdoor activities, my wife was happier because I was paying attention to her more, etc.

What I would change about your plan is "the only things i can do" section. Don't limit it to that. Just cut out Internet (except email/google), TV, and video games, you will get a huge amount of free time you didn't know you had. Highly recommended!

I was planning something similar at the beginning of May. I doing the whole No fap thing and No smoking or drinking. Im not gonna put to much on my plate right now I'm just gonna stop the things that I think are negatively affecting me the most. Gonna shave my head on the weekend, start working out again, eatting better. I did that last summer and I felt great. I'v already started to put more of my time into starcraft to keep me distracted from the things that keep me distracted. I'v also been marking down how many games a day I play and my W/L ratio for all three races. In terms of self discipline I'm thinking I need to work on my sleep schedule, bring up dishes when I'm done with them so they dont pile up, make my bed, keep my room neat. Also Im gonna limit my internet browsing down It's easy for me to be distracted by just browsing sites with out realizing how much time I just lost.

I think he enjoys those things but he's unhappy when he looks back on his day and all he's done is browse the internet etc. Don't want to speak for him but everyone is saying don't give up things that he finds joy or relaxation out of but I think he's aware of this. He's eliminating things to create a catalyst for change. Fulfillment comes from many places, OP is trying to see if he's missing out on other types of fulfillment because his current activities may more convenient or addictive and those aren't the best reasons to continue.

I tried something like this, and only lasted 10 days (no masturbation).. I did notice a slight increase in attention from women (this could be totally placebo though) and I wasn't as tired as often and full of energy.

So I can understand what you're trying. Someone said earlier in the thread about how a change like this will come at the time it's supposed to, if it doesn't work out. I kinda believe in this, so even if you fail don't worry about it too much. Forcing a change is very hard at times

Well, not all the things in his second list are that bad on his own... Like guitar can be relaxing. But when you put it next to the other things in his list, it is pretty obvious he is not playing for the right reasons lol.

As much as I admire you for such a commitment... this sounds impossible imo lol.

I mean if it was just about mindless browsing and whatknot it would be doable if you just distracted yourself with something else, like a pornhub marathon or smth

...but this? Sorry, but I don't have a lot of faith in this.
