Reign of Thunder is another mech game in the spirit of Mechassault 1 + 2 (which were on the xbox). It's created by Day 1 Studios. Not many betas really get me interested, but this peaked my interest a bit. I've always had a passion for mech games in general; starting with MechWarrior 2: Mercenaries (which I still play on dosbox occasionally) and continuing to the present. While there isn't much in the way of information, the general idea is that it will be for the PC as it is supposed to be Free to Play.

While I encourage you all to sign up for the awesomeness (I hope), it would also be beneficial if you'd use my referral name in the process to lend me a hand in the process as well.

Between this and MechWarrior Online, I'm sure one of the games will be worth sinking some time into for the mech lover. While I imagine MWO will have more polish to it, given Day1's former approach to design would indicate it'll be much more arcade style and fast paced; leading short gaming sessions during downtime when I'm bored.
