Hey Toronto TLers,
I'm in Toronto for the day and night, staying near the university... got some recommendations for places for a tasty lunch? Things to do with today's sunny day? Things to do on a Toronto Sunday night? I'd love to grab a drink and talk some starcraft as well~
Update:
--Tandoori Kitchen (I think it was called that) on the corner of spadina st and college st, had the most delicious authentic indian food I've had since it was homecooked for me at friend's parents -- Don't drink beers on the streetcars. I went to the beach with some fellow hostel'ers and on the way back we were discretely drinking some beers in the back and someone complained. luckily we pounded them and put them into a backpack, and a simple shrug face got us out of it when the tram driver yelled at us. -- Toronto has a great vibe. people from all over the world, consistenty great food (well, except for the pizza), really friendly bars and such.

Hi Unfortunately I've never been good with recommending food, but welcome to Toronto, where it's always warm and sunny!

Which university are you staying near? Would help me out a bit P

UT Downtown?
You can head over to Chinatown for some decent dim sum. Toronto supposedly has the best Chinese food outside of China, but I think that's more Markham/Richmond Hill; downtown is not bad.
Lola's Kitchen is another decent spot near Bloor-Yonge station, they have a really good cheesecake stuffed French Toast. While you are there, another good place is Crepe A Go-Go, very good/traditional French crepe, both sweet and savory available.

Ok there's this place called big fat burrito's somewhere near kensington.
Chinatown has all sorts of restaurants. This one called Canton Chili provided my study group sustenance for all second year. You should check out all the towns, I ate at a nice restaurant in Korea Town after arriving.
My friend works at a startup called drink owl http://www.drinkowl.com/. They have great deals on places to drink there. The night life is usually pretty crowded on the weekends from what I've seen. I think a lot of people come from Hickstown, Nowhere to enjoy the city, but the vast majority are native undergrads.
TTC is the public transportation system. Day passes are $11.

If ur vegetarian theres a place called buddhas delight (near the arts college) im not veggie but that food was frekain good
U could also try those street trucks. toronto is quite big on those

If you're near U of T, you could check out the bars on College St., near St. George St.
I highly recommend the wings from Einstein's Pub. They have one of the best wings downtown. Not a lot to do in the night time, especially on a Sunday...

Burrito Boys!
Okok, there's this DOPE restaurant called Harlem. It's a little bit expensive (like $20-$25 for a meal) but that shit was amazing.

Just outside of the Rosedale subway station is a small sandwich shop called The Black Camel.
Get the brisket with charmoula mayo and/or bbq sauce. The coffee is excellent too.
$10-15 total, will not disappoint

the Montreal Smokemeat Sandwich place where Jeremy ate is now gone

If you are referring to downtown, you can refer to my blog about a burrito place on bloor, one block west of spandina: http://www.teamliquid.net/blogs/viewblog.php?id=262508
EDIT: they often have a huge line up during lunch hours and they make them rather slowly. It is recommended that you call them to pre-order then walk to the place to avoid waiting.

Are you into Mexican food!?!?
There's a great authentic and well priced Mexican place in Kensington Market called "El Trompo" or something like that.
Love it.
