hi..i'll be going to korea for about a month next sunday for vacation...I want to get some kind of gift for my family (mom,dad,sis)...but not sure what to get for them
I think my sister wants a purse (some brand that puts picture of horse on every purses they make..lol i know), but I have no clue of what to get for my parents...
i haven't seen them in like 3 years and they tell me i don't need to get anything (i know they mean it)..but it would be nice to just get something from overseas..
any of you have some good gift ideas for parents?
my dad's a fire fighter and my mom is a avid church goer for your information

I'm not gonna be of any help here, but huge kudos to your dad for being a firefighter. Mad respect for him.
Fire/EMT the only people I donate money to when they are out for donations, they totally deserve every penny of it.
Good luck! Jealous you're going to Korea haha. I wanna see some BW matches! D:

Get them bottle of Pocari Sweat and tell them it is a popular drink made from the sweat of old judo masters who reside in the Pocari region of South Korea.

Since they're probably not expecting grand things, you should aim for funky/unique gifts! You know, like something for a good laugh, nothing super-practical.
Purse... horse... what, she wants a Longchamp? GOOD LUCK LOL

Korean cooking book (in english writing of course) so they can prepare your favorite dishes!
|
some pics of you having fun, frame them or something. Since you dont see them that much its anice way for they to remmeber you

See if you can't find your dad some sort of Korean Fire memorabilia. My dad was a firefighter/paramedic and so am I, that'd be really cool to have.
|
If you're getting your sister a Coach purse you might as well get your dad a Rolex or something
|
Would be nice if you bring them local artcraft/speciality (sorry, no idea what is the english word for what I'm thinking off), except food and other perecible (lol hope this word exists) goods, because they usually get wasted during the travel.
|
Get your mom some really nice teas and stuffs. :D
|
A Korean cook book in English sounds like a great idea if your mom (or dad) like to cook and you like Korean food.
|
Get your dad a bottle of Jinro if he likes wine, it is inexpensive and very tasty.
|
me and my father cannot drink more than 2 beers..it's something in our genes i guess.. and korean cook book in English ain't going to do any good for my mom lol :D
i guess i'll hit the malls this weekend with friend and see what i can find...i wish i was good at gift giving at times like this...never done this before ><

the only brand i can think of with a horse on it is burberry NOT coach (coach is pretty overrated now imo). burberry can be pretty expensive, so try hitting up a burberry outlet. but...even at the outlet, their purses are about 300-super crazy amount.
maybe your mom would appreciate a purse too?

Buy a unique (but inexpensive) gift from korea! I'm sure you can find something strolling around there
