FIOS promo codes?

I'm about to move into a new apartment and we have the option of going with Comcast or FIOS so we're going FIOS since I've heard nothing but bad things about Comcast from friends, googled reviews, and the new neighbors.

The standard price for just FIOS internet is $75 in that apartment but I keep seeing this promotion listed on every "Verizon Promo codes" page I've googled that says there is a deal to get it for $49.99/month instead + no contract. When I click on the supplied links it just takes me to Verizon's Triple Play page. :/ There was one page that offered a promo code that I entered but it said it was no longer valid unfortunately. Am I out of luck on this one? If so, does anyone have any advice regarding places to look for deals? I don't care about TV or phone, just FIOS internet.

So far the best I've found is $70 for the Double Play (25 download/25upload internet + phone, no contract) vs $75 for only 15 download / 5 upload internet, 1 year contract.

Was totally going to just pull the trigger on the standard price but seeing that promo got me in the deal hunting mood. lol

I dunno about the deal hunting but I've got 40/20 dn/up and holy shitballs it's worth the money.

So if you end up not finding anything, you're not getting a bad deal or anything..

or I guess you are getting a bad deal compared to promo deal... :p

tofu lives sort of near me, and I can vouch that comcast fucking blows donkey balls.

Cox is really shitty in the DC area as well.

Had Cox for like 6 years..Comcast for 3.. and now FIOs.

Comcast is by far the worst.

I never had any problems with Cox aside from them shutting down my connection for a day because of torrents, but FIOs is cheaper.

Try just calling Verizon and telling them you heard about this deal and asking them how to get it.

FiOS is amazing though, totally worth the $75/mo.

Comcast is garbage. If you can get a FiOS package of internet + cable it is pretty good.

That link leads to one of the sites that I found when I googled and unfortunately didn't yield the deal to me.

Good news though, I used the Live Chat thing on their website and after speaking to three reps I found I could get FIOS 15/5 Internet for $55/month if I sign up for a one year contract. Saves me $20 a month or a total of $240 in a year, pretty pleased with that.
