Anyways, what alot of people don't realise is that the majority of child molesters are not strangers but people that the child knows. We don't do background checks on many people who are responsible for the majority of such incidents. If you are a professional driver, it's definitely possible for reference checks to be done on you. | ||

It is on record that at those times he or she is with the child in the car... If something happens to the child in that time, who is going to be blamed? Conceivably the kid could be touched and told not to say anything, but conceivably your own brother or parents who you occasionally have to leave with your kid could do that, or your friend, or the parents of your child's friend. The only thing I will give you is that it would probably have been better not to state the age of the passenger, so as to avoid people looking for children. If it was that concerning you would probably do better to tell her that (for the sake of her child) than to make fun of her for being a busy parent trying to make things work. I mean, when you actually start putting yourself in the position of parents and the people you think are so stupid, you'll realise the solutions aren't as clear as you'd like. It's very easy to be judgmental, much harder to actually live a life. Would I look for drivers on craig's list? Probably not. I would probably try to get another parent the child is already familiar with and trusts to do it. But that's also the basic story line of every child molestation ever, so what can I say? Ever had a friend's parent drive you back to your house? Ever gone outside? If you have, you probably take more risks than you're aware. edit: why does it have to be a 40 year old man...
