I think this needs to be solved before they can be used well. I can think of two things: - either taking all the pictures in the same setting - now you have a keyboard, hands, a mug, and various dark and light textures for background, and different sized cubes to boot, it's kinda distracting. - or doing some photo-manipulation to make the letters stand out. Yeah I did all these in my holiday resort, on the airport and on the plane.. so I couldnt quiet get the same setting. I agree the are hard to see and I think the way you solved it makes it look pretty good. If someone did that with all the words , I would include them in my OP ( Or wait a week and I could do it myself ). | ||

I tried to use only two colours ( as you can see on the simple letters ) but for the more difficult ones, that was impossible. I tried to make it as good as possible, maybe there are better solutions tho. On to the actual topic at hand: I really liked the pics, immediately saw the words (although the N took my brain a few seconds) and thought it was a fun idea. Interesting how some see the words easily and others dont, I wonder if it has to do with looking at/doing a lot of art regularly or if it is more of a pattern recognition brain difference. | ||

That usually happens to cheap cubes. Mind you, Rubik is also a brand. IIRC, there are two famous brands of Rubik's cubes used by speedcubers which don't have this 'hole' problem. One of those is the Rubik's. | ||
