like i heard from someone if the dress shirt goes past your wrist then you tuck it in, khakis and jeans match with anything usually, acid-washed jeans are bad, don't dress in one shade etc... I guess I am asking if someone can give summary (or a good website to refer to) I am also a terribad dresser... | ||

I'd say that your hoodies/pullovers are fine and your problem is with your other items. A good pair of shoes/jeans go a long way. | ||

Find someone with good fashion sense IRL, whether it be one of your wall street friends, or someone on TL, and make them go shopping with you. Really, clothes are something that are very much a per person sort of thing; what looks good on one person can look like a garbage bag on the next. This is why you need a live person to help you shop for sexy clothes, not someone over the internet telling you what to buy. It seems like you are used to taking a very practical approach to clothing - warm, cheap clothes, practical shoes, and no accessories. As a college student, I also wear similarly ghetto ass clothing. However, I also have to look good for them job interviews and hot ladies. So my advice to you, when you go shopping, is not so much to go for one particular style or so - it really is just whatever catches your eye. Try something on, make sure it fits, and take a moment to check yourself out - do you like it? Do you think it looks good on you? Personally, I never really took the time to do that since I just wanted some cheap clothes to keep me warm - but when I started shopping for aesthetic value, it came fairly easily by just taking the time to appreciate what looks nice, and what doesn't. Anyways, I really enjoy your casting, Mr. Bitter. ^^ [edit] also if you think clothes look good on someone else, go buy the same thing or something similar. kinda like build orders. | ||

If you can't manage the above, then get a sweater (whatever not-too-extravagant color looks good on you); a pair of fitted dark-ish blue jeans; a button down shirt (make sure the collar matches the sweater's colors) and black leather shoes or a pair of vans that goes with the sweater. Can't go wrong with that. Also, I agree with the going to H&M thing and trying random stuff on. When I started trying to dress well, that's where my friend took me. | ||
