Now, if you dont quite make it as a pro gamer, what other career options are you interested in? o_O Maybe I'll try more tonight if I feel like playing lol. I'm not really sure. I'd really like to do something related to eSports, whether it be business-related, managing, casting maybe.. I love eSports and the community (obviously especially Starcraft) so whatever I do in college I'd like it to apply to eSports in some way.

They recognize it is a possible career option (at least the eSports industry) but they don't see me making it as a player forever (which is unlikely). They want me to go to college so I will have some safety and also have a better chance of getting other jobs in eSports in the future. I plan to go to college (and not community college lol) but I am considering taking a semester/year off after HS if I feel like I really want to try my best to reach my maximum potential. I'm going to be stupid and give advice for a sec: Remember that community college shouldn't be laughed at. Very cheap and most 4 year colleges will accept an associates degree and basically set you up for doing a major with almost no general education credits. If you don't know what you want to goto college for, getting an associates from a community college is a GREAT idea. Too many people spending money that they are not going to make back when you don't know what you really want to do with your life. Anyway good luck. I hope to meet you again, it was fun last time.

I really admire NaNiwa's playstyle and his drive to be the best, everything he does just really makes you feel like he's got this calculated, planned out, and practiced perfectly. SeleCT has been my model for Terran play for as long as I can remember, and he's a chill guy. I don't really watch GSL much / I'm not really a big fan of Korean players, but I do like fOrGG (I liked him in SC1 too). My biggest rival hmm... vileHawk is one, I never seem to beat him on ladder, and he knocked me out at Dallas. vileIllusion, because he's younger than me and probably better than me at this point, though we're close. Used to be dde, but now that we're teammates it's toned down a bit. We've played a lot in online tournaments and he seemed to always get the better of me, but I have won vs him a decent amount lately. There must be others, but I can't think of any off the top of my head

And no. I've had a couple interesting sc2 encounters. Last year (when I was a sophomore) a senior I didn't know came up to me in the library and was like "hey I'll pay you $500 to coach me in SC2" (kinda troll/obnoxious like). I just laughed xD Pressure who used to be TL staff used to go to my school, he graduated in June. When I was a freshman he approached me in the library when I was wearing a SKT T1 shirt and asked where I got it. Last week some kid (younger than me... probably freshman) came up to me and said "hey aren't you really good at SC2?" and I'm like "yeah" and then he said "oh cool. I told my friend you go to this school and he thought that was really awesome" or something like that. It's always cool ^^

If I knew / told them long enough in advance, I'm sure something would be worked out, but more likely I'd have to do it on Monday/turn it in early. I had to give a speech (my topic was my Starcraft experiences) the Monday after MLG Columbus and I wrote it on the plane flying home Sunday night.

True enough. We'll see. I go to a very high-achieving high school with like 99% of people going to a 4-year college right after HS, so I kinda feel like it would be a waste of time to go to a prestigious/difficult HS (college admissions officers in the northeast at least recognize it right away) if I were to just go to community college.

My school is 7th grade through 12th grade, and 8th grade does go on our HS transcript/counts for GPA. This semester it's probably around that / slightly lower, mid-high 80s. The goal is to finish at 90ish, but I'm not sure if that will happen.

Protoss deathball with good control is really making a reemergence as impossible to beat coupled with warp prism harass + reinforcement during major battles. It's a really tough matchup, and I don't think mech is a good way to play. I still play fairly standard and get by on just having better mechanics, but I really don't know how to beat a protoss that is better than me past 15 min.
