Road to gold day 4

This game was first of the day so I was little worried on my performance wise. If you do happen to watch the replay I didn't play my best but I feel I did pretty well. My style of zerg is macro, and wait till you move out so I can take the game. as soon saw Terran going for this third I knew it was now or never in terms of taking out his army. Once I cleaned it up, if I was playing top of my game I would have had my army being made before the battle ended but first game of the day jitters def got to me. Overall, once his *second?* push came I knew I had the game.

Okay so this game my MORTAL enemy was Random. I droned scouted around 8 supply to give myself time to react. I found his base, and we spawned close positions. I quickly reacted to my ZvZ build and started to macro. I made 2 sets of lings early on because i noticed he did not get his pool as soon as I did. I threw down a distraction spine crawler and my 4 lings did a good amount of damage to his economy early on. He went banelings. I prefer the roach approach.. get it? So I didn't mind he went banelings. I noticed his blings didnt come to my base so i suspected a sneaky expo and I was correct. but I ignored it. I made a few extra roaches and did my early roach push. I favor staying on their ramp if they went lings since they can not get a surround and I rally lings to help reinforce my army and deal with them pesky banes.

Overall my attack worked and I had every intention to rally more units towards his expo so finish the job but he GG'd and that was game #2!

Hey guys so I just beat my first gold of the day, Today i am not playing a whole bunch it seems, I seem to be little more busy then Id like to be, but none the less I'll make time for games here and there and come write a quick summery.

It was ZvZ and I was actually skyping my friend sharing screen for about 5 minutes in the game and It was really throwing me off, so he left the call and I really started to focus. I went roach baneling vs Ling roach and pulled off a pretty easy win, he expanded first but i managed to kill it off and expand, I was teching to muta as well just to finish the job in case all else failed. Was a quick game, my macro was pretty off, like most games, its something I will def want to improve on. It will make the difference between making gold and staying silver, or even progressing past top 50 in Gold.

I wasn't going to post this, but it wouldn't be fair to myself or to you guys but I hate ZvP as of lately. This game was just so bad and I didn't enjoy it at all. I don't really want to go into detail about it, replay will be posted below, feel free to watch.

Alright this game, another lose, I'm not proud about this poor scouting, he went 1 base muta and I just gg'd after a while because I couldn't stand a chance. I tried to do some damage, and was able to kill a lot of his workers. The spire how ever was done when I attacked and from then on it was only a down hill battle unfortunately.

just want to take a moment to just kind of release some stress here and try to figure out my thoughts. I feel like I belong in gold, I do fine against gold level players, Yeah I win some and lose some, but that's how ladder is suppose to work is it not? I feel like I should just get the promotion I am trying so hard to get so I can really just relax. It's always the same for me. I try so hard to get that promotion that I get stressed out and lose because I am trying to hard. The game doesn't become fun when I am trying this hard to achieve something. I am proud to be in the top 8 in my division and only that but I get top 2 all the time. ( i lose a few and drop back down but its up and down) If anyone can help me feel better about laddering, its such a chore sometimes, grinding out games trying to get gold. I know i should play for fun, and I do, its awesome fun to play.. and win. lol I know losing is part of the game and I should learn from it, and I am trying. I want to get some practice partners who really want to help. I want to macro, while being harassed and giving me a hard time. I want to improve in my overall game. However I want to make it to Gold before i start to really focus on my game mechanics and improving both micro and macro simultaneously. I fell once i am in gold I'll have a pretty good game sense and a better understanding

I have been going against a lot of new builds while going against gold level players such as FFE, iv never gone agasint that until recently and other strats such as banshee harass, so that is definitely something I want to improve on.

As of now, i need a little breather from ladder, and I think i am going to do some team games, just to try and relax. More replays on the way, its best to check later that way you dont miss stuff I add throughout the day. I am not 100% sure how this is all going to pan out. if i will work on the blog all day long, like i am now, or just do it all at night and post it. I dunno bro.

Alright this I must say was a amazing game!! It was a ZvZ and he really early linged me, so from the very beginning I was behind, I put some spines and was able to hold him off pretty well the whole game. I took my 2nd at my 3rd base location to throw off opponent. He was pretty out massing me, ( prob out droning me as well ) I have not seen replay as of yet. I knew I had to do something in order to get me ahead, so I put down a mutalisk den and preyed that they finished in time. At this time I was floating on a lot of gas, and not a whole lot of drones. I managed to get 6 mutas out before he noticed and I took the lead ( and the game ) because of lack of AA. Thank god. I thought he might base race me, but i managed to squeeze some lings out and another expo in case he destroyed my base.This was the most micro intensive ZvZ I have had in a long while, and these are the type of games I love pros do. Edit: My APM was on fire! compared to my other games! 91 APM LOL, might not seem like a lot but It is to me.

Alright so last game of the day, just had to be a protoss, they are so annoying. Anyway bad scouting is to blame, he FFE, the toss build I am not used to. I seen his probe doing something sneaky and I just didn't scout the canon rush. So sadly, my expo dies. At that point I'm like alright, all in. My plan was to baneling bust him but ofc Toss is OP and just FF and there goes my game plan. Not to mention he went voids, and I didn't have AA, Poor scouting again. Something I should work on. My original plan was to Ice fisher, to fight vs the possibility of voids but be strong enough for a gateway push. I got a lot of work ahead of me it seems. Getting to gold appears to be a bit further out of reach then I first thought.
