I really love what you are doing with Dota 2. It's precisely what we need in the Dota 2 community. Skilled players that are willingly spending time helping new players from a different game genre. Thanks on behalf of a-know-nothing about dota person. After reading your blogs im more pumped up to give Dota 2 a shot. In fact, i recently started playing Dota 1 because of this and with your guide i feel like i have a decent grasp of the game basics/mechanics. Really looking foward to dota 2! Hoping I can join you in Dota 2!

Really helpful guide for players new to the genre, or even to DoTA itself. Somehow I didn't even know that Roshan dropped cheese after 3 deaths, even though I have played DoTA forever.

Nice to see these really well done DoTA2 articles getting attention on TL.

I can't say I have anything interesting to say, but I might as well throw my hat into the ring! I'm a long-time LoL player looking to give DotA2 a shot-- having only minimal DotA experience playing with friends a few years ago, posts like this are really helpful to remind me of the differences between the two games, so thanks for the guide!
