This is a little bit silly. I'm not sure how to feel about this. Milkis has, quite rightly so, gotten an immense amount of community support. Are there bad eggs? No doubt. But.. why focus on them when the vast majority of the community greatly appreciates your work?

Please reconsider!

Can't feel sorry for you, nor any sympathy if you just quit because you get some flame. I'm 17 and have been apart of the e-sports scene for nearly half my life now. I've been scammed and ripped off by the top organizations because they've taken advantage of my age, I've been flamed on by hundreds of people for my opinion (even when it turns out to be correct later on) and I've not quit once. If you had a passion for this scene, you'd man up and stop being such a little pussycat over small things -- this is e-sports, not the school's basketball team. You will get nowhere if you quit and back down over what you've stated.

Again, although I'd like to love my fellow riceball we've come to call Milkis just as much as any other guy that dedicates himself to the e-sports scene as much as you, I honestly can't muster up any love or sadness for you in this situation if you just leave because of a few haters.

For lack of a better term: PEACE.

I have to agree. It's extremely childish to look at only the bad side. Every time you translated at an MLG, you had hordes of people cheering for you and the live report thread filled with "MILKIS FIGHTING" comments. You can't say that people exclusively or even mostly "shat" on you. That was merely an exception to the norm.

Search for Milkis on reddit and you'll find at least 95% positive threads. You were able to make reddit cough up 3,000$ to send MKP to Orlando out of the trust people had in your name. You had people asking for your autograph. Yes, you. A translator. You got more attention than some professional players did.

I don't know what more you want. Posting that thread and expecting people to blow more sunshine up your backside was never going to happen. The people who called you out in that thread were correct. And you wrote it in a manner that encouraged trolls and killed off civil disagreement.

You need a reality check. I love you and your work, but there are translators who would kill to be in your position. And you're pissing all that away by ignoring the incredible love you get and focusing on the bad stuff that brought on yourself.

this reminds me of the german president köhler. he said something and got criticized publicly for it, then he quit his job and whined at the media and public for making him quit.

not asking for the spotlight, and acting in a way that puts u in the spotlight nevertheless are two seperate things. i just think u are very overdramatic and childish, just like the people hating on you with hatespeech etc.

Seems you only focus on the bad/negative things.
You make it sound like you never had a single person thank you or appreciate what you do for the community, but i see them all the time on TL/reddit.

I don't see why so many people are pulling Milkis back from this -- if you respect him and his authority, respect his decision to leave. If he takes the perspective of the haters so seriously and shuns the fans that love him so much, there's no point in attempting to win his admiration for you all. Obviously if he cared about his fans and his "fan base" he would take into account these posts and indeed apologize for his actions of making this thread and say "I'm coming back, apologies for being so immature."
