Yeah so I just hit 5k posts although I post way too much, anyway supposedly this is one of those milestones so I thought I made the obligatory zomfg 5k posts blog.(Personal opinions about SC2 and BW included here)

I followed Starcraft BW for a while on youtube videos, I actually disliked korean commentary at first because I had no idea what the hell was going on, Klazart was my favorite commentator, due to his WPM and enthusiasm which felt on par with the koreans and his knack of drawing odd but cool analogies(Art of War references). To this day he is still my favorite english commentator.
Even though I did watch some professional BW I didn't activly follow it, I knew who boxer, nada, oov, Savior and Jaedong were and some pretty boy who I now have come to known as Bisu, I didn't know who belonged to and which team, I just knew the major players back then.

Anyway Starcraft II was eventually announced, like everyone else I was superhyped and the Beta started sometime in 2010. After I managed to get a key(a very late one may I add) I had followed youtube vids from Husky and HD in order to see whatever Beta footage I could get, I already heard about teamliquid (Jon747 and Klazart, diggity etc). I was really excited because it was you know, the followup to the greatest game ever made. So I finally found TL and I lurked for a while until I made an account. As the SC2 game progressed however at times there would be BW in the sides, streamed by GTR, Craton, Grobyc, Xsebt, and probably more guys but I forgot.
My mind was blown, suddenly the fancy SC2 meant nothing compared to the daily BW I could get. The Korean commentary, the teams, the players, the amazing play by many including Jaedong, my favorite Zerg and player, Fantasy, my favorite Terran and Stork, my favorite Protoss.(Although the latter has been mwah,mwah I don't really like Protoss in general although they were in a tough spot the 2nd half of this year). And after a while of seeing and playing SC2 I got bored, the game felt unfinished and missed the BW magic, the things I saw in GSL(Mind you it was GSL 1 and 2 and so) was 1base shenningans and BITTTTTTTTBYBITTTTTTTTTTT. The first time I actually was suprised was with baneling marines, I was like that is so cool,
Then I realized thats fucking nothing compared to BW had, the more I got into BW the further I got away from SC2. The more I knew about BW, the more I recognized that SC2 still had a long way to go(it still does as of today). Nowaydays I do still genuinly like SC2, MLG is fun to watch, especially with friends who follow SC2. I also root for certain players which I like(ex BW legends) like Nada, July, Boxer and Boxer's subsequent legacy in SC2, SlayerS.
Ow yeah and White-Ra and LiquidHero, the former cause he is the most manner papa toss ever(more GG more Skill) and the latter cause he looks like fucking Jaedong.
The play has been getting much better but I still dislike certain things about the game, but this is not the place to whine about it. All my BW watching over the past year(the closely followed year) all came together in this years OSL 2011 Jangbi vs Fantasy Final. It was amazing and I shed a tear(a very manly one mind you).
I have recently(with the end of the PL season and OSL there is a certain lack of BW) attempted to get into BW, the game is hard but alot of fun. I play Terran and I prefer mech, vultures are fun and slightly gay(sup Harem) and siege tanks just melt units, nothing is more satisfying then a Protoss bulldogging(thats not even a word I believe) you and seeing their units evaporate before you and their blue goon blood spread across the battlefield, that is if I ever get to that point. Major thanks to Fold and Harem for helping me to play BW and Koro(I think it was Koro) the other day to play a couple practice games with me, I still haven't even reached +D but my plan is too FD my way too that soon(1rax FE and Python not gud for D level.)
So anyway apart from that TL had also introduced me to kpop(or rather, the BW streams did)

Now I used to post alot in the General forum.....in general but I kind of bowed out of the poltics, racial, religion etc debates, partly due to my lack of knowledge and partially due to people's stupidity. However roughly 15% of my posts now are in this thread

The KMD, or well Kpop thread, I post way too much in that and alot of it are just pics or one-liners lol although I do post actual music from time to time.
Anyway the thing I like about the BW and the KMD aswell is that little communites have formed, degrading as it may be BW is like a village compared to SC2, I know everyone in BW(perhaps not vice versa) and in SC2 people just pass you by unless you are like a staff member. And I kinda like that, most people know each other, their teams affinities and likes and dislikes, same with the KMD.
So yeah thats my ''TL'' life in my obligatory milestone post
