I think that, when I made that post, I was 29th or so in my league. As I mentioned, I really got started playing when I watched some of Day9's casts. For some reason, even though I'm already "into" the game, I love watching his "How to Get Into Starcraft" video. I've taken a lot of his advice to heart.
I could go on about how great I think it is that eSports has a name like Day9 in it, but I'll refrain.
Anyway. One of the things he mentioned in that video was to start setting goals for yourself. So I did. I decided that, within the next two weeks or so (from around when I made my first blog), I would ladder into the top ten of my league.
It's not exactly a huge dramatic "I'M NUMBER ONE IN MY LEAGUE," but... well, I'm number ten, and I'm pretty happy about it. I've pretty much dedicated my time to refining the one build I know - am I chronoboosting? Am I using my minerals? And so on. It's still not a perfect build, but it's gotten me to where I am.
I guess the next goal will be to make top five. Don't know when that'll happen, though. Or if it will. My bonus pool is all out, and there's no way that this build will carry me much further, right?
