After 16 games, I feel very comfortable hitting the CC hotkey and tapping S immediately thereafter. The 1.4 reduction in sound when an alert arrives seems helpful, if I can get the balance right. Surprisingly, a few of those games turned out to be wins, at least in terms of the ladder. However, I found myself more frustrated with missing an SCV build than anything my opponent was doing, especially in the early game.
For my next brace of games, 15-20 or so, I will work almost exclusively on not getting supply-blocked. If I continue this level of worker production, there should be plenty of funds to build depots every chance I get. Even if my base is covered with nothing but depots and my opponent rushes/blinks/tanks in to see the head-scratching sight, I'll know I'll be doing something right.
