On a sidenote: the only chance for your phone to work again is letting it dry completely. This can take between 12 and 24 hours. Even longer if it was lots of water like in your case. You should take the battery of the phone immediately and dry the sole parts for 24 hours straight. Call in sick or something in order to get home if you don't wanna tell. | ||

Well yes I do, But the fact is I've allready told my boss what happened, Aswell as bought a new phone online, So thought it could not hurt either way, Boss didnt get angry. The fact that it actually happened and he saw the cellphone and it wasnt just a excuse for me loosing it, he was surprised I wasnt lying as more ppl have actually lied about this because they've lost their cell. Lol Either way I think it will be fine. Still a shame but people can get unlucky :/ | ||

 couldn't even fish it out cause it was the small thin one T_T glad to see you got your problem resolved though ps your story helped me talk about this because i was so embarrassed about what happened that no one knows about this aside from my mom and one of my friends, so ty for helping me come to terms with this. i know this sounds kind of retarded but it was a pbig deal to me... uh yeah | ||

This is true but only works to a certain extent. Obviously, water doesn't damage electronics directly, but it causes shorts. If the phone is turned off when it gets wet, then taking the battery out and putting it in a bowl of rice for a while should help. If it's already on when it falls in the water, there's a good chance the electronics will be damaged in which case removing the water doesn't help. | ||
