I was SUPPOSED to have a nice relaxing summer filled with hangin' out and casting SC2. Instead I drove over 10 hours or more nearly every weekend, spent more money then I have and got zilch done at home. After almost a month and a half of "vacation" decided enough was enough and took a vacation from all that vacation. I've been organizing myself for the last two weeks and am ready to start this vacation. My goal is to work 50 hours a week at my normal job and an additional 10-20 hours a week on casting.
It feels nice to be back to work (something I never thought I'd say) but that probably just proves all my friends right...I'm a workaholic.
The first chance I got, this past week actually, I sat down and cast a whole bunch of games to try to figure out where I stood and what I need to focus on. I managed to get some of them up on Youtube, you can find them here.
There has been improvement from when I started, however, I'm still pretty terrible. One of the biggest issues I noticed after reviewing some of my casts was my lack of analysis. I'm still horrible at telling the audience WHY something is important and HOW it will effect the game. My pacing is still a little slow and I sometimes have trouble translating what I see into coherent sentences rapidly enough to keep up with the action, but I'm steadily improving in those two areas. Any tips on how I can improve my game sense and ability to analyze?
