Super excited today, all the parts i've ordered for my rig have arrived, and i will begin the process of building this hunk of metal. Should be done by the end of tomorrow. My old rig, aka what im using right now, is about 3 years or so old. It was a high end gaming machine at the time, but its beyond out of date now, and i wish to do more things like start streaming my gameplay, and casting. I have some high ambitions of being involved in the starcraft community on a promotional and casting basis. So i figured the first step was to get a computer capable of reaching out to everyone.
My rig is as followed
Chassis: Antec 1200 Full-Tower
Motherboard: ASUS Maximus IV EXTREME
CPU: Intel i7-2600k Sandy Bridge, gonna try OCing it to 5.2GHz
GPU: nVidia EVGA GTX 590 Classified
RAM: 16GB G.Skill DDR3 1600
PSU: Cooler Master 1200W Silent Pro Gold
Cooling: Corsair H100 Push/Pull
Hard Drive: 128GB Crucial SSD, 2 TB Western Digital Caviar Black
Optical Drive: Some blu-ray player made by Pioneer

you should have gotten 3 GTX 560's and SLI'ed them together if you're going high end like that. Just having one video card is like having only one core on your processor. Also going 2 1TB of RAID0 HD's instead of just one HD is smarter. SSD's are flashy I'm thinking of getting one for my rig as well for a bot drive. don't know how much value there is though with it.
whats your monitor/Headset/mouse/keyboard? Looks pretty wicked though.

1200W is so overkill for what you're running, haha. I've got mine running off an 800W and even overclocked it's fine.
And I'm running SLI cards. :p
Otherwise everything else looks like it'll do just finnne :D

I do plan on adding a 2nd gtx 590, so that's why I have such a large psu, as for the hard drives, I do music production as my means of income so I plan on adding hard drives, as well as externals over time

I forgot to mention that i also built this rig with the intentions of running BF3/CODMW3/ToR in max, hopefully be able to stream that as well

You'll need to upgrade again pretty soon if you run your CPU at 1.45v.

Youre definitely right but I don't think I can get the clock at a lower voltage, ill experiment tomorrow
