![]() +Interesting personality. This is a major imo. Live streams rarely come close to the same quality content of on-demand material. Soo many VOD's and other stuff to watch with amazing casters etc... The reason we watch streams is because it is live, it feels more personal, it is uncut, and we often feel a small connection with the person streaming. So yeah, have an interesting personality.. But that won't help unless you show it. Interact and talk a lot with us/others/yourself. State your opinions, be full of yourself, whatever.. Just be INTERESTING. I think also emphasizing the whole interacting with viewers part is very beneficial to start out, gaining some loyal viewers in the beginning until others catch on. +RAW skill. Rgn(previously)Phoenix for example. Not that many viewers, speaks no English, but damn, this guy plays insanely good. Love watching him. No matter how seemingly boring a stream may be, if the player has exceptional skills, nothing else will matter. I'm tuning in +Comedy. Make us laugh, just don't deliberately try hard doing so. If you have a humorous personality, capitalize on it. +Drama. Believe it or not, drama is almost always a good thing when it comes to satisfying your viewers. Another reason which is kind of exciting about the whole streaming business, it's uncut material, anything can happen and when it does, god is it awesome. -One major setback for me is being fake. If you aren't yourself, and are clearly putting up an act for your viewers, I feel like vomiting and will never watch that stream again ^^ I think also one key factor is to invest a decent amount of time into actually streaming. I'm talking like an average of 2 hours every day. I *believe* a very small percentage of stream-viewers are actually "new", the remainder are people coming back since they liked what they saw previously. Viewers as my self like to create favorites whom they enjoy watching, and if the people we could potentially have as favorites rarely show up on the list when we want to view, you are quickly forgotten about entirely. S So yeah, be persistent ![]()

It's pretty hard to get a stream popular, and so many people just fail in doing so that it's a bit sad, I admit... A few tips, especially since I managed to catch your stream the other day: - Try to get a regular streaming schedule. I watched your stream, found it fun, but have no idea when you're streaming again. Shame, you lose an opportunity to gain regular viewers. - Try to interact with the chat, make your viewers feel important and listned to, eventually you can even play games with them - Be authentic, which I liked a lot about your stream in the first place. It's pretty fun to watch because you are pretty much your average SC2 player, and by playing team games you make your average SC2 player comments. So just keep it up, don't overdo it. - Don't expect too much. You need to stream a lot for people to go "oh I've seen this stream before/heard of it, let's check it out", don't expect dozens of viewers for quite some time - Try to do what other streams aren't doing. You already appel to the overflow of testosterone on TL, try to think of some fun stuff to stream! again here you can use chatbox or ingame channel interaction to get team games, showmatches, funday mondays, etc.! - Ignore BM and don't let it get to you ![]() Hope that helped, looking forward to your next stream!

Also, Malyce, what do you mean by ingame channel? Are you talking about creating a sc2 chat channel for us and our viewers or am I not understanding you?

Yep that's it, an ingame chat channel you can call "2rax" and you can use to pick out viewers to play games with, kinda like they do on TL Attack ![]()

Once you get a following you have to stream around the same time every day and stream consistently. If you take a week break it's easy for everyone to forget you.

If all else fails. Get a web cam, take off your shirt, and throw Kim chi at your wall while screaming like a lunatic after each SC2 game.

Or perhaps just try streaming in French? There's a billion English streams for only a handful of French ones. But I guess that's a pretty radical change...

Indeed you're better off streaming the both of you, and the time zone difference definitely doesn't help. Don't underestimate the French public though, especially if you have a Quebec accent! But yeah not a good idea if your friend doesn't speak it.

And that's why he's so famous. And this is his tame stuff. Just keep streaming, you'll eventually get viewers. While you won't be White-Ra or Destiny popular, if you're good about streaming at a regular time, give people ways to know when you're streaming (twitter, bump a stream thread, etc.) then people will come. I haven't seen your stream so I don't know if you interact with viewers and whatnot, but some streamers will invite people on for a fun match, FFA, so on.
