He puked his guts out and then laid down. He struggled, but couldnt even stand up. He was only able to raise his head, but there was nothing of the old fire left in his eyes T_T We took him to the vet, and he agreed that it was the best option to put him down. I cried like a bitch the whole morning. Now I've downed half a bottle of Jameson whisky and ma drunk at 15:30 pm. I don't even know why I've created a TL blog for this, just feels good to write it down. R.I.P. willi <3  | ||

My dog, Bali, died 3 weeks ago. Worse part is that I'm here in Kuala Lumpur and I didn't even see him before he died. My 2 brothers (one works in China and the other a student in Manila) were just as devastated. I was singing this song for a whole week. Before Bali, I had 4 other dogs who died of old age. You'd think that if you cried once before, you wouldn't cry for the next one. But no. It's like losing family. My girlfriend sent me this SMS, while I was at work a few hours after I learned Bali had died (translated from Tagalog): "Don't forget that Bali had a great doggie life having been taken care of by your family. He didn't die of any disease or any unfortunate accident. I'm sure he died happy and fulfilled. His life was a success." The next morning, my brother wrote a beautiful piece on Facebook. It was a long one, but I'll just put in the best part: "Bali, wherever you are, know that we loved you so much, and it was a joy taking care of you, watching you grow, watching you grow to be an amazing dog. You were not a dog to me : you were a great person covered in brown fur." And yes, I'm crying again. | ||

It might take a while, OP, but before too long that emptiness will be replaced by a quiet fondness. You're always going to be able to cherish the memories of your dog. Keep some pictures around. | ||
