It's partially I've never played the game and partially I'm not that interested in extremely long combos that I didn't find them that interesting. I hope on harder difficulties you can get punished by enemies for trying to do long combos at least. The videos I showed you are the absolute best of the best players so they make it look easy when in reality keeping track of all the enemies around you and being able to break out of your combo and dodge or parry the unseen attack mid combo can be very challenging. It's sort of like watching Flash 14 CC ten times in a row a going "Man, that better be punishable." It is, just doesn't look like it when done at that level. Those players simply don't get hit at all by anything. Most of those competitions won't even consider your entry if you got hit once. Also, yeah they aren't nearly as impressive if you haven't played the game. They are very hard.

I remember having trouble with them at first. In the 2nd playthrough (and on a harder difficulty level) I had a system down for beating them consistently without taking much damage. Although you could not block the darts being attached to you, you could block when they would go off and suffer minimal damage and no knockdown. They were one of the enemies that did not grapple you when you blocked too often, so they often were best dealt with by blocking and countering-on-block. If possible, of course it's better to just run away from them If they were unblockable and 100% knockdown that would be absolutely ridiculous. That certainly was not the case.

Could never beat Murai on the highest difficulty setting though T_T the only time I was able to hit him was immediately after his charge move.
