Will learning Korean increase my chances of interacting with some pros? Will I be able to pick up a lot of Korean in the span of 4 months? (enough to converse?) Also, you're freaking amazing. I love your heart and passion for the community and for SC2. Rock on Milkis... rock on.

Do you think MLG will hire a second Korean translator before or after you die of exhaustion? How awesome is Boxer? So awesome, right? Favorite no/low-effort food?

And also one more question; what is your absolute favorite SC2 moment in-game or out of game? If you play on NA servers hit me up for some games! Jastermarrel.918 ![]() They all play on Korean server. And since I don't play enough, I've never asked. SC2 moments out of game? The emotions that swirled before and after Boxer and MMA's match, and moments after Boxer beating Rain. In game? Jinro nuking. What isn't? Although he's probably lame and the lack of milk can explain that. On August 07 2011 14:10 Purpl3 wrote: Any weird autograph requests? Or gifts received by the Koreans? BW of course ![]() Also, how did you manage to know someone from my floor at college, I remember I was talking to him and he said he knew you, and I was like freaking out, like, "OMG YOU KNOW HIM WTFHOLYCRAP THAT'S AWESOME!" (iirc his online name was sarenji I think). TvT: Skyhigh vs Fantasy, Fortress, SKT vs CJ Playoffs in 09-10, both games. TvZ: Jaedong vs Light, Fighting Spirit at Bigfile MSL. Runner up are the Jaedong vs Baby games, both games this PL season. TvP: None really come to mind, sadly ![]() PvP: Bisu vs Pure, Polaris Rhapsody, SKT vs WeMade Playoffs. So sad Pure lost though T_T PvZ: Violet vs Hoejja, Heartbreak Ridge ZvZ: None. Sarenji is an old friend of mine :p On August 07 2011 14:16 Adebisi wrote: Where do you see yourself in a few years? I recall on WoC that you're studying statistics, where do you want to take that? Have you considered or thought about the possibilities doing something more full time pertaining obviously to Starcraft and specifically translating/mlg/working with korea etc. More of an economist. I'm tinkering around with the possibility of Econ graduate school. I don't know how much I want to do it anymore though, so I'm still thinking about it. If that doesnt work out, I plan on just getting a stat masters. Full time doing Starcraft? It'd have to be more than translating though. My English -> Korean isn't the best, since I lack the vocab when expressing myself in Korean since I don't have the opportunity to use it much. I'm open to the possibility but I think I want to spend a year or two doing what I do now (econ research) and figuring out if this is what I want to do. Feel free to answer as many or as few as you like Cats/Dogs: I like both. I dislike small dogs though (unless they're puppies). Genre: I don't know what genre of music I listen to, but my last.fm is http://www.last.fm/user/WhiteCosmos Color: I like this shade of Dark blue that comes around at a very specific time at Night. I think it's Midnight Blue but i'm not too sure if there's a color that's closer. If there's just enough lighting the color is really really pretty. Who to be: Myself. Why would I want to be anyone else? On August 07 2011 14:20 Kiante wrote: What's your favourite Lady Gaga song? (besides going to korea) I don't honestly know. Take a good college class, and probably go out of your way to use it everyday. I don't know how well other programs like Rosetta Stones are since I never used them, so you guys are really on your own for that. But I think the key to learning any language is just effort and it takes a tremendous amount of effort to learn a language, and you're only really going to put in the effort if you're motivated -- you'll be motivated if your livelihood depends on it (ie: go to korea and go to a place where you can only speak Korean) On August 07 2011 14:33 BIGSTEVE808 wrote: SK will probably send Nada to the next MLG to go through the open bracket. Because they choose their words wisely I think it's bad on the translator if they miss the tone they're trying to hit with it or miss the meaning completely. This is one of the reasons I'm really hard on myself as I'm not really great at doing this live, although I try. It's something I'm working on more and more.
