too bad subway is so fast easy and widely available. if there was like a chipotle(heard godlike stories about it, fuck canada) or some deli place around here it would be amazing.

Chipotle is in Toronto, FYI.

Such as...?
The biggest factor, as always, when it comes to this demographic, is cost.

Personally, concerning cost, I can eat much cheaper at home than out at even the cheapest fast food joints, but as for eating out cheaper than Subway, I don't have any suggestions. I make an effort not to eat processed meats and Subway is the king of that. Almost everywhere has better, healthier alternatives, though. Even McDonald's, sadly. Processed meat is worse than red meat is on your body.

I see people from all demographics eating at Subway or any other fastfood. And as the other guy said, you can eat cheaper by cooking your own food. It's convenience and familiarity combined with the cost.

I had a similar experience. I went to some fast food restaruant. "No cheese on my burger." They WRITE IT DOWN and then give me a cheeseburger. Twice in a row. And then I waited another 30 minutes for my burger.

Wow, I didn't realize so many people had such negative experiences with Subway, it's always been great for me, though the fact that I eat pretty much all the possible vegetables they have may have something to do with that. Most of the time, the people working there always confirm what I want to add and I always make eye contact and gesture while speaking clearly and there's rarely any miscommunication.

I don't understand what it is you guys face. I get like 15 olives on my sandwiches and around 10 pickles. Plus the food tastes good :D. But yeah.... never buy meat from any place that isn't your home. It will rarely be good unless its a special or you know the people that are making your food, and even then....
You guys should come to New Jersey . However, I do make my own sandwiches often just because it is a lot cheaper. (Seriously, what did you people do before subway? o.O)

One of the guys who works at my Subway put cucumbers on my sub when I asked for pickles. I said no, I want pickles. He said "You know they're the same thing right?"
o.O

o.O He's.... kinda right. Bread and peanut butter jelly sandwiches are the same thing then.

during my time at my university, there was a subway with a very broken system:
I always order 6" tuna with double tuna, and I think they mark the fact that it's a double by folding a mark on the baking sheet, by the time it gets to the cashier after the veggies, the mark was barely noticeable, that or the cashier didn't give a fuck.
I think I've only paid for double once.

Uh... What's your logic there? Are mashed potatoes the same thing as Pringles?
Edit: Unless the emphasis is on the "kinda."
