1st of all: how old are you? 2nd. Is masturbation just cure for your boredom or lazyness? If so, find something to do, Last of all, you just need some good old fashioned discipline. If you REALLY can't do it yourself, call up friends and ask them out for a beer or something. Bottom line is, be around someone, so you can't spank the monkey. If you're forced to be alone, do something physically tiring. Go run 10 miles, swim 100 pool lengths, clear the entire house. DO SOMETHING. If you're young still (like below say 18/19) the amount youre masturbating is perfectly fine. If your body needs to ejaculate that often, then do it. It's healthy for you. | ||

How much do you masturbate exactly? If you'd call it an "addiction"... Moderation in all things, etc. Masturbating is normal, doing it 5 times a day is not. | ||

I found music as an interest when I realized I was spending too much time on the computer, and the pleasure of playing along with a band and/or playing to the terran themes on my clarinet outweighed that of staring at a screen all day. I cured an addiction with an addiction, yes, but the latter was way more awesome, productive, and accepted. I should also mention that after a few months of that I stopped playing music as much, but didn't do computer that much either. It kinda balanced me. | ||

However, I will concur with the above opinion that you need a replacement activity, and or a cold shower. Physical activity is the best. Run and or lift weights. Do hand stands! Try not to pass out. Edit: Finding a partner to have sex with helped me the most. Solo runs stopped happening as much. You do need release either way. You might start having dreams where a clean up on Aisle 5 is needed. | ||

As for the replies that are indeed good. I would also concur that working out atleast every other day will help you get your thoughts away from this and release som sexual energy. Part of the problem of masturbation addiction is that it feeds itself. If you hold off for a day or two you will lose some of the urge. Couple that with physical training and you can live a perfectly healthy life in which your sexual desire doesn't hurt you in other aspects of your life. | ||

The term addiction to masturbation has been deliberately misused by certain Christians for quite some time to discourage any type or amount of masturbation, so unfortunately you'll need to man up and be more specific in what you mean when you say "I'm addicted to masturbation". Anyway your best bet is to figure out what triggers your masturbation and try and remove that from your life, and to access whether you can masturbate at all with out it leading to addiction. If this isn't a troll then good luck. ^^ | ||
