Im posting from my phone so bare with me. Recently I've been pulled over 4 times for no legitimate reason. It all started on my drive to new York. I was pulled over in Virginia on a suspected drug smuggling case. (I live in florida). He proceeded to force me out ofthe car and a search. Nonetheless nothing happened but he did attempt to give a ticket for my tints but they are legal in Florida. I was them pulled over in south Carolina 2 weeks later on my way home for not putting my blinker on (it was on). He told me there was a warrant for my arrest. Yet he had the wrong person. After arguing with him I was allowed to go. Most recently I was given a ticket for parking illegally in my own driveway. I ripped the ticket up. I'm tires of cops assuming I'm a criminal bc of the way I dress or the car I have. Orlando had one of the highest crime rates in the country yet I'm always harassed by police. I have a video of a cop cursing at me on cam insisting "you kids always have drugs. I will find them and throw your pathetic ass in jail" and then threatening to arrest me for recording it.

Nonetheless my AC blew out yesterday in my 09 corolla . I do delivery for a restaurant and it is hot. Does anyone know how much it costs to fix?

I don't mean to sound racist in asking this, but are you by chance a minority?
How does it feel knowing you wasted another 3 seconds of your life reading this again?

If your car's an '09 then is there any chacne it's still under warranty? (I only ask because I just had my AC fixed and it ended up being covered)

why don't you report those police officers, unless there isn't a good system that allows cops to be reprimanded.

The one in which I recorded was my word versus the 4 cops that all showed up to search me. Nor to mention Windermere police are notorious for scandals. Google Windermere police and go to news

Wow thats a lot of driving... If the AC is the only trouble you have had I'd consider you lucky. What kind of deliveries do you make that can account for that amount?

Well I guess driving to NY can probobly account for a good deal of those.

I do delivery in central florida with no AC too

I feel your pain man.

My AC is blocked up, estimates are anywhere from a few hundred dollars, to over a grand depending on if it can be fixed or if I need a new compressor

Your AC "blew out?" You gotta be more detailed than that.

I just had my AC fixed yesterday on my Accord, and thankfully it was just a minor leak of freon so all my guy had to do was add a dye into the system, find the leak, patch it up, and add more freon. It only cost $70 total since I've known the guy for the longest time.

However, major leaks will probably require you to replace some parts and can get very pricey.

Good luck.

It made crazy noise and something broke. Suddenly no air at all. That's all I know. Sorry to be so broad

That doesn't sound legal to me... police can't search your car without probably cause or a warrant. If he saw drugs sitting on your passenger seat that would be one thing, but police can't just search your car.

What do you mean parking illegally in your own driveway? Can you explain?

That is actually illegal...you can't have any part of your vehicle obstructing the sidewalk.

Stupid, but it's the law.

Also just get your AC checked out - could just be a hose that got dried out and cracked, or it could be plugged with road grime, could be the compressor doesn't kick on - it's not terribly complex in there...I wired my A/C in my '78 Trans Am from scratch, haha.

Exactly, illegal to search without probable cause, or consent.

Saying they have a warrant out for your arrest is a way to get you to submit to a search or give consent to something that would be illegal otherwise without your permission, its definitely an abuse but fairly common from what I hear.

Ah. Do either of the gentlemen in this picture resemble you, by any chance?

Because if every cop in Orlando sees you driving around regularly with tinted windows while dressed anything like that, it's not personal. They're just playing the odds.

You look harmless, I don't get it.

I have a feeling we're getting just part of the story, like how you said you were parked in your driveway when actually you parked illegally on public property. Do you lend your car to people? If you do, the person you're lending it to might just happen to deal drugs.

Perhaps a little old lady across the street actually thinks you are a drug dealer and so she keeps reporting your licence plate to the cops.

So many possibilities.

edit. Your vanity plate doesn't say "pigsdie" does it?

I live w my parents in a gated community. Cops don't like me bc they say I'm a know it all. Especially the one time I wouldn't let them search my car. It's just annoying that I have no record or anything yet they always seem to find me on sully laws

Yes I did read the rest, and it sounds like you seem to fit the exact description of people police are trained and brainwashed to suspect and typify as criminal. Maybe next time a cop pulls you over start playing some classical music or something (until your ears start to bleed), and that's sure to lessen whatever negative image he'll inevitably form of you.

Lol that might help. Yeah idk I just don't understand that with all the crime going on that they find me. Or when I've needed the police for help (stuff was stolen) they never gave it 100% effort

I'm a delivery driver as well, sometimes I get 800 miles a week so I can relate to that, You might ask about your employer helping you pay for fixing your car, it varies from state to state but sometimes, if you drive your own car for work, the company has to compensate you for repairs. I don't know if a broken AC is something they would pay for though, its not something that keeps your car from running.

Lame about the cops though, only thing I can say is know your rights. They can't search your car unless you let them or they have a warrant.

I think the search was justified because the officer mistook him for someone else.

I understand the ticket thing for being 1 foot out of your driveway, although a warning would have been sufficient, but the rest just sounds like bad luck to me. :/
If you watch Godzilla backwards it's about a benevolent lizard who helps rebuild a city and then moonwalks into the ocean.
