Alright, now that I'm well into making my Nidalee costume for PAX, I have decided what I am going to do for Blizzcon: A baneling costume.
Zerg is my favorite race and, as we've seen from the adorable baneling plushie Day[9] owns, banelings can be super cute!
I plan on basing my costume off of a modified version of this drawing:

I think I'll make it more dress-like and less realistic, though. I promise it will still look very baneling-y!
My proposed changes fro right now are:
-Putting the hand claw/leg on the outside of the forarm so I can still use my hands.
-Shortening the current "legs" and adding another set extending from the waistline.
-Have the abdomen/butt trail behind as kind of a modified old-time dress style (wire cage off the butt that pushes it out with the rest flowing behind
-LEGS! MY LEGS! I'll probably wear black leggings and heels. May consider lime green net over the leggings, we'll see,
-Less "bags" on the arms, more on the midsection.
-Removal of the clavicle "bag" -- I really just don't like it
-Maybe black hair instead of green
Thoughts? Opinions?

I need to see an actual sketch of your changes before I can comment on it.

I would start with the hat. It's sort of a mini-version of the entire costume and an absolutely pivotal piece of it. If you pull it off well and are pleased with it, go on making the rest of the costume, otherwise - change the concept to your liking. Oversize it!
