So originally I had a much longer and elaborate 1k post written, but in light of the recent events in Norway, I've decided to scrap it in favor of a more somber post. If you haven't heard, there was a string of recent terror attack in Oslo and Utøya, in which nearly 100 of people my around my age or younger died. I dedicate this post to the dead, as well as the families of those who have been effected by the horrifying attacks. Stay strong Norway, my heart and mind is with you.
The attacks got me thinking about what "community" means to me, which of course turned to TL.net. Throughout my life I've been a part of multiple organizations and communities, but Team Liquid is the single most consistent one of them all, both on the internet and in person. While we may like to argue and bicker amongst ourselves, when the time comes, we are all brothers and sisters. Never before in my 19 years of life have I been able to go up to a complete stranger, and say "hey, I'm from Team Liquid!" and instantly have their friendship, trust, and hospitality. It truly is a remarkable thing, and it speaks a lot about the bonds that can be forged over virtual communication. I'm proud to be a member of Team Liquid, and I'm also proud that I can give back to the community in the form of writing for TLPro after it's given me so much to me.
I would write a list of shout outs to all of the people who have personally helped me out at TL.net, but it would be around 3,000 names, and you all know that I love you and treasure your help regardless. Thanks for everything Team Liquid,

Thanks for adding to the community and I hope we are all here for you many years down the road.

Great dedication and great post. While the events in Oslo and Utoya were a true tragedy, if their community is anything like the community of TL, then I know that they'll be able to recover. I am sure that those innocent people did not die in vain.

Yeah. TL is also a huge source to my news... I found out about the Oslo bombing a minute after it happened because of a TL poster.. Same thing with Amy Winehouse...Now, that's not a good thing finding out about a tragedy like that, but it shows that TL is more than just a community. It's a news source as well among many other things. It's also a good source for finding battle reports >.< It's also important to mention that over a long time, that I have personally experienced, TL still has a high level of quality and has high standards, compared to basically every other forum.
EDIT: Just realized Endy was the one who wrote the Battle report. T.T Now Ares's comment seems less random.
EDIT2: Nice Battle report.

Couldn't agree more, really is a special and pretty unique thing. Heck, some of my non SC friends have been pretty amazed by TL and the community getting to see my interactions with it and various TL members.
Keep on going strong man, probably gonna be time for another TL meet here in a month or so I think!
