Once again, I had another dream about Starcraft and RTS game in general.
In this dream, I am wandering around a facility located in an amusement park that looks quite similar to Disney World, as there are quite a few fancy roller coasters and interesting rides. I walk into a relatively busy building that resembles a convention center, where there are quite a few TV screens and video game booths.
On one of these screens, I spy none other than Flash, preparing to play a game of SC2 against some hapless Korean opponent. Only in my dreams could this happen, but alas, complications prevented this wonderful match from happening. Upon entering the match, Flash quits and has to remake the game due to crummy B.net 2.0 stuff that happened.
I get impatient and leave for a bit, gazing upon the landscape of rides that my dream had constructed.
I return back to Flash, only to find him playing none other than Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3. He was displaying some brilliant kiting micro with infantry, probably Soviet Conscripts, and I suspect that I also saw him doing some nice macro back at his base while engaging in this micro.
I don't really remember what happened later, but Flash ended up playing a match of SC2, except all I remember from this match was him doing some stutter-step/kiting micro with some MMM on a dark map, probably Xel Naga Caverns.
My dream then transitions into me playing a game very similar to C&C Generals. The in-game adviser recommends me to build aircraft to assault the enemy base. But DAMN the planes! Thus, I instead 1a2a3a a mass of infantry and tanks into the enemy base.
When I return to my base to macro, I couldn't build planes out of the empty airfields. For some reason, planes could only be built at helipads. Blasphemy.

rofl. i wish i could have RTS dreams like that. wasn't there a VTOL craft in one of the C&C games? that might be why your mind thought it had to be built at a helipad. i also expected the flash plays C&C twist at the end. that would be truly blasphemous.

They definitely weren't GDI Orcas, which were the iconic VTOL aircraft from C&C. I definitely think the aircraft were conventional, fixed-wing fighters and fighter/bombers.

I rarely dream about Starcraft but every night as I am falling to sleep, my brain kind of...goes into Starcraft mode? As in it makes weird connections that have that total dream logic that makes perfect sense until you think about it for 5 seconds. For example, I'll just be drifting off 'Man, that chick is so into me. I'm gonna see her tomorrow, do I just play it cool? She's probably gonna make some joke about *x topic*. If I just *x response* she'll think it's funny...then I can just drop hellions into her mineral line, gotta make sure I have the blue flame first. Yeah she'll love it, I'm so in there.'

o.o, that was funny tbh. Can't say I dream, let alone about RTS.

Let's see. The infantry that is the most difficult to micro in RA3, in my opinion, is Peacekeepers (as far as non-heroes are concerned). They are kind of comparable to Footmen in WC3 in terms of their special abilities, but their attacks depend on the range, which adds another layer of complexity and tactical decision.
Then there is Yuriko Omega, which in addition to a few other infantry units in a Stealth APC can level a base with ease if controlled properly.
