To each his own, man. Personally the Transformers movies aside from the first one were just giving me migraines. Even without the token chicks, if the movies were directed properly, they would be good. MLP as I mentioned is simple in every way yet complex in it's own way. Main characters are not as stereotypical as I expected them to be and it's one of the first cartoons that actually made me laugh. It wasn't a sheer product placement series but an actual cartoon series. ![]()

However, I wouldn't be surprised if I find myself falling down into blind bronyism should I accidentally watch an episode or two.

Unlike other fanbases that ick me out. MLP fans are pretty much on the same level as furries. I'm not sure you're in a position to be judging fans of anything.

I'm only 23 and SpongeBob was years past my cartoon-watching days. Season 2-3-4 of SpongeBob were the shit man! 22 here. To be honest, it was during the times of Dexter's Laboratory that Cartoons got good. There's plenty of cartoons that are actually perfectly entertaining for anyone. I guess the logic is lots of parents are going to be watching WITH their children, and there's no reason why a cartoon can't entertain all. There's a quote from someone that would be relevant..... brb EDIT: found it! "Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up." — C.S. Lewis Now, let's all go and watch spongebob squarepants!

Now waiting on season 2! If you want to start off, I would suggest watching episode 3 onwards. It starts off cutesy funny and then eventually becomes something too damn awesome for words. + Show Spoiler + "Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves.
