Well last I checked and from pretty much every interview all the SC2 pros do play ladder but its most just to keep up mechanics and not really anything testing strategy wise, of course if preparing for some tournament especially GSL they would play with other people in there team on customs.

I'd be happy to practice with you. I even speak your language so we can teamspeak in 2 languages, whichever we feel like. We can discuss maps and strategies, watch reps, watch proleague, get good at this game.. break some bones, be sent to jail or pay a fine and then we could practice some more when we get out.
