Hi Arne :D you cant be serious with this. Wolf and Unstable are really cool and as you know I am a HUGE zerg-player-fanboi myself, but to be fair FD was outclassed/outplayed and Wolf was just honest.

What did I hear in the Group C commentary? Fruitdealer looks like a villain? Because of this lack of shaving? Guys, this zerg is practicing so hard, he does not have time to shave.

wait, what.

His performance was not successful in Group C but there were some comments in the cast which put me under the impression that Wolf was trying to say he is not a great player anymore. Even though he lost two matches, FD did not get roflstomped either. As of now he always stayed in Code-S, while other champions fell down already. FD maybe is currently no champion material as he struggles to stay in Code-S. But he deserves our unending support nonetheless.

FD hat many roaches which represented a threat to Top for some time. They also allowed the former champion to take more expansions. His baneling use was a bit weird. (If it had worked, he would be praised to be a genius, of course.)

I don't see your point. "His roaches represented a threat to top for some time" doesn't mean the game was close. Fruitdealer got absolutely rolled sorry; even as a FD fan I have to admit that.

Top waited (rightly so) before he absolutely knew he had the army to kill FD. The last parts of the game he was largely ahead. But he did not just build some units and rolled FD, he got more and more ahead while FD made few successful attacks only. If Top had attacked sooner, the oGs player probably would have won, too; but the game would have looked closer. He went (which was a good choice of course) the safe road.

So basically top's game sense and decision making were superior and he slowly compounded his advantages throughout the game until he had an insurmountable lead..... but the game was close? What are you trying to argue here.

Love it how the guy added in the spoiler at the bottom after he was fired down on the first page of the thread. To be honest, I think anybody should have the decency to clean himself up when he is going on such a big show like the GSL, but whatever the case wolf was only kidding and ignoring the spoiler you added in I think you have taken what he said too literally.

I was upset with Wolf's talk about Fruitdealer, because I am a fanboy. I am aware that Wolf's plenty statements about FD's current shape are correct and that his villain comment does not mean he actually considers Fruitdealer be, or looking like a villain. I still consider Wolf's commentary somewhat rude, because I have no objective look on FD. I thought the blog OP would express that, because I switched from reason to fanboyism several times, reflecting both part in me.

What's your definition of roflstomped then? He was outplayed in every aspect of the game, from macro to micro to positioning to timing to game sense. There was basically no moment in the game where Top wasn't building on his advantage and pulling further and further ahead.

Yeah... generally when a game is so one sided you can't just say "at least the guy who lost played well" because he didn't. However I don't really enjoy wolf's commentary either so... I guess I agree and disagree with you OP

Wait what even more O_o. That first game vs Top was pretty dam brutal

I did not say the game was close. I said that FD did not get roflstomped.

What's your definition of roflstomped then? He was outplayed in every aspect of the game, from macro to micro to positioning to timing to game sense. There was basically no moment in the game where Top wasn't building on his advantage and pulling further and further ahead.
In my definition, rolfstomp is like killing a guy in SF2 or MK2 when you self got no scratch (or lets say 1-2 pixel HP lost.)
You don't choose to play zerg. The zerg choose you.

I kinda like FD myself, but that game was pretty much the worst roflstompage you'll see between two korean pros.
