Yeah, because serial killers kill others because they ruined his flowerbed.

Good job OP. They seem to look adorable, but wait till it goes to a bird nest and eats the bird eggs. :o)

e. oh, and next time i think you should try to cover the flowers with something, so those bastards won't ruin the next ones

After what they did,
The kills were reverse karma.
Squirrels weren't fast enough.

Those bastards used to get in my parents garden in the backyard when I was a kid and my Dad would pay me to get rid of em. Squirrels and other small rodents are a bigger problem than a lot of people think, especially for farmers.

Nasty vicious squirrels ravaged my sunflowers.

They climbed up, piercing the stems with their sharp claws and infecting the plants with all manner of parasites and recklessly breaking off leaves.

Then they gnawed the flower heads a bit before decapitating the plants in a flurry of bites fueled by hateful rage.

The squirrels ate every seed and mortally wounded all of my beautiful sunflower plants. I had to pull them out.

WAR

My dog killed two of them by biting and shaking them. I shot one with a BB gun, which incapacitated it, then followed it up with an axe to the neck. One of the eyes popped out. But ultimately it's like 2 marines versus 10000 zerglings. There's just too many squirrels.

I hope you get killed very soon...

Is this legal?

Yes.

It shouldn't be, it's awful. To brag about it is kind of sickening, why would you brag about mutilating an animal? "It's eye popped out" That's just disturbing.

That'll teach you to fast expand instead of walling in your flower base vs a squirrel rush on God's Garden

On a serious note, I've only seen squirrels on TV, lol@Singapore.

If they constantly attack your flowers though, guess you don't really have a choice regardless.

Oo I see squirrels regularly around my block but only ever 1 at any time. They're pretty elusive, its pretty easy to miss them since they run around real fast when humans are around.

Singaporeans generally feel squirrels are cute fluffy creatures since they're rare (maybe as rare of collosus drops) around here haha. I guess how you're looking at this squirrel infestation of yours is similar to how we look at rats here. Any sort of rat sighting will guarantee a citizen running to lodge a complaint with the authorities.

Wow that's fucked up, did you even explain the situation to the neighbor before poisoning his dog. Or was that a stray dog ? I would be pretty pissed if someone poisoned my dog :|

Kinda interesting thread. Apparently, in the US squirrels are a problem. In the rest of the world, they are cute little adorable cuddly gifts of god. Awesome display of different perceptions of the same thing.

This thread has delivered the lulz for me. When I was young, my family had a miniature farm going on, with a garden, chickens, rabbits, and such. And killing pests like annoying squirrels, escaped rabbits, crows, rats/mice, hawks etc was pretty commonplace. I got my first BB/pellet gun at the age of 11, and have gleefully murdered several hundred cute little fluffy woodland creatures. Only they weren't cute fluffy woodland creatures to me. They were the evil rabbits that would destroy a head of lettuce in about 20 seconds. Or demon possesed mice that would rip holes in our bags of rabbit feed and scatter it all over the floor of our shed. Or the genius crows that knew when I was carrying a rifle, and would quickly scatter. Otherwise, they'd sit watching our little baby chicks with a hungry eye, devil horns sprouting from their heads. And the hawks that we would never see until we saw the chickens freezing and hiding under trees, then going nuts when it swooped in on one of them.
I shot a rabbit with a .22 at about 75 yards once, with open sights, while it was hopping around....I am pretty good with a rifle, lol.

So reading all these replies about how op should be drawn and quartered for killing squirrels......just lol. These be some sheltered city folk here. :-)

When I was young and finally given a bb gun as a present by my parents, they gave me 1 strict rule which I always abided by. Don't shoot at anybody or animals.... There was however a caveat they soon made. Any squirrel on the bird feeders were fair game.

My aim became immaculate without damaging the bird feeder itself.

On a related note, my parents have a continuous stream on their property now. The pool at the top of the stream is by their deck which has a lot of the bird feeders around it. Squirrels find their way in but are too stupid to get out and and drown on a regular basis.

Then I guess every single farmer growing up is a potential serial killer. You're mistaking controlled violence for remorseless torture. Potential serial killers don't shoot with a BB gun and follow up with an axe to the head. They trap it live, and skin it letting it die, or slowly cut off it's limbs one at a time to see how long it lives.
Easy doesnt fit into grownup life.

Augh, I can relate. My garden is being attacked by *something*, probably either rabbits or squirrels, but I've never caught them in the act.

At my old place the neighbor's cat used to do a pretty good job of killing everything on the block, but there seems to be no kitty hero here, T_T;
