Is it worth it?

So I like having stats and by that I mean like alot more stats than I need.

I've heard of the program SC2 gears and I have two questions about it.
1. Is it worth it?
-I've heard it's a great program and I know it is free but I don't want it to take up space on my computer.
2. Is it safe?
-I want to protect the security of my computer and would rather not have a program that is not safe to download on my computer so anyone out there who has sc2gears could you possibly answer these questions for me?

it's safe, and it's worth it if you keep good track of your replays already, otherwise it can be a little odd

how little space do you have that you have to worry about 100mbs at the most

yeah i didn't know how much it took up so I did not know that It was only 100 mbs. I was more concerned about the safety than I was the space

if it wasn't safe do you think it would have lasted this long without people making a big deal about it? ;p

space on your computer? Unless you have a computer made in 1985, then you honestly should not be worrying about this.... Whoever said SC2gears was 100MB is completely wrong, as the install itself is like 1MB....... with an 80GB HD (extremely small) it takes up like 1/100,000th (or like 0.0001%) of your space on the computer. As far as RAM (memory), you would need to load 100 instances of SC2gears before it would begin to compare to the memory your internet browser uses.

In other words, if your only excuse of not using it is computer space, you need to find a better excuse. Every person in the world that wants to analyze their gameplay and actually improve at the game MUST use replay analysis programs, such as SC2gears.

Also, how in the world is SC2Gears NOT safe to download? It is an OPEN-SOURCE program that is maintained by a community of professionals... if you are that worried about security, then you shouldn't be browsing the internet, as malicious ads are more of a threat to your computer then downloading this program (which is 0 threat at all)

Just fyi, almost anything posted on TL is not going to harm your computer unless its like a pebcak error. Otherwise mods and community members would remove it/yell about it.
