Hello starcraft comrades!
About one month ago I made a topic where I introduced my thesis research (topic: http://www.teamliquid.net/blogs/viewblog.php?id=210473 ). My thesis aim is to create a model which explains why people register at forums. So why do people register at Team Liquid, why not somewhere else? Why do people lurk and not post? Why do people suddenly decide to register?
Once again thanks to all who helped me with their interviews in the last topic! It helped me so much and without all your effort I wouldn't be able to do this research!  The interviews were thoroughly investigated and based on these interviews I made a research model and a survey.
This is where I need your help again. I need many many responses so that the results are a good reflection of the 'real world'.
Why would you help? First of all, you will help a fellow fan and I will be very grateful for it. You will also be acknowledged in a scientific paper. Furthermore and most important, the results of the research will be shared with the guys at TL and it will help them to make the forums even better. Who doesnt want to help eSPORTS?

I understand what you mean but if you look up your first post it might bring back a lot of memories from the past and it can help you remember a lot.

I made my account to discuss timings in 2v2 in the sc2 beta. Prior to that everything I could contribute had already been posted. After that I became an active member (this is my second account) and posted on anything that interested me.
I had lurked ~5-6 months before I felt I had something to add to a discussion.

Hmm, that is something I can take a look at once I have collected all the responses and exported them to SPSS. However, the survey will be online for quite some time because we need many responses.

Completed the survey--pretty cool thing to do your thesis on. Also made the survey a lot more interesting than some I've filled out for psych studies (purchasing decisions, studying patterns, etc--yawn). Good luck and I look forward to the results!

Judging by some of the questions, it seems it is more targeted at people who were slightly experienced at whatever they joined for, and wanted to help with what they could while still gaining more information.
I was one of the people that had no clue what I was doing when I joined, and needed all the help I could get.
