My Easiest ZvP Ever? And a slight APM improvment?

DocNemesis Philippines446 Posts May 18 2011 17:11 GMT #1 Recently, I played a PvZ match on Shakuras Plateau. I did my usual build: Roach Opener FE followed by Mass Mutalisks. I noticed that it's been more than 5 minutes and he has not made a single ground unit to protect his base. All he had was just a couple of photon cannons and a gateway as a wall. Little did I realize at the time that my opponent might be going for making Carriers. So, I thought of doing a little harassment to confirm that. And so far, I saw 2 Carriers, a Void Ray and a Phoenix. As I was teching up my air units, I decided now would be a good time to call in those Corruptors, which came just time for a decent push. Since I teched up my air units, picking the Protoss Carriers and Phoenixes was not too difficult, especially when I got corruption, which works pretty damn well. I totally forgot I can do that with Corruptors. I always make em morph into Brood Lords. No wonder I always suck at taking down Mass BCs way back. Anyways, I took a look at his profile and since my opponent was of the Silver Leagues, I imagine that I am one step closer to being promoted. Not completely sure how the promotion system works since the MMR does take in numerous factors. I also noticed that my average APM has gotten a bit higher than average this time around. Might be due to constantly clicking on my Hatchery and pressing it's assigned hotkey at the same time. Must say, it really helps out in warming me up during a match.

LoneWolf.Alpha United States115 Posts May 18 2011 17:12 GMT #2 hmm , ok, nice job. carriers are best dps per population supply, but not good dps per cost. but it costs so much to get to them, they aren't worth it until endgame. good job running over a noob.
