I've been playing some of the practice league, and one thing I've been really happy about is how I haven't given up on a game just because I have suffered some loses. One game last night I was busy teching hard, and I had only a few lings, when all of a sudden there were about 10 lings in my main! I quickly spawned roaches and lings, and managed to hold it off, though I lost a lot of drones. However when that battle was coming to an end I put a Nydus in my opponent's base and sent all my remaining units over there. As it happened +1 armor just finished, and the few lings he had died quickly and he quit the game. I was so happy because when so many of my drones had died as well as the queen I thought I was dead for sure.
In a similar game vs T today my expansion went down to some marines (which I killed), and then again to Helions, and the guy was also trying to harass with banshees. I thought I must be behind, so when I'd had enough I took my roaches and hydras out to his base and just killed his expansion and busted down the front door. What I was pleased about in this game was that I'm pretty sure if I had been in his shoes I wouldn't have given up. When he quit he had actually killed all my hydras and he had a banshee which would have killed the 6 roaches in his main. At the time I was preparing to send over a few hydras by nydus, but IMO it wasn't over at all. Anyway, I was glad to win that one, and I'm learning a lot about how to defend and then attack!
