I know Blizzard runs games for a lot of people, with a lot of people, at a high level of complexity; They do it at higher levels of complexity than I've dealt with myself, however...
How do you deploy a patch (or do something to your server[s]) that totally breaks the one core KEY functionality of your system that you're running for MILLIONS of people? Whoever is in charge of their QC in the patching department needs a good smack on the back of the head.
How many broken patches in a row are we going to have to deal with? Maybe Blizzard has been operating with the "Well, it's SC2, they'll play it regardless" safety net and they're starting to slip...I dunno.
As of right now, profiles are broken, matches aren't being recorded, and even the forums aren't working right. I was trying to post in a technical support thread, the following, but couldn't post anything this morning due to bnet forums being broken...again.
My profile is not loading, when it does load my match history won't load, when that DOES load, all my ladder games from this week are missing.
Also, even though I'm in top of my gold division and usually matched vs Plat, and on a winning streak, it's now matching me vs Silver players and telling me THEY are favored.
A couple easy wins later, I'm wondering if Bnet is totally borked??
Also, I've now played, I think 4-5 matches in a row all on Shattered Temple?
More interesting even is that ONLY ladder matches are going missing in my profile. Custom practice games are still showing up!
What gives?
At this point I'm almost wondering if Blizzard is trying to remove out ladder match history so we can't track our wins/losses that way (or maybe to obscure our opponents' histories so we can't check what builds they use??).
I wouldn't put it past them at this point.

The shattered temple part is easy. It is simply one of the maps that is the least vetoed. It is also well within the reasonable possibilities even discounting vetoes.
As for the players you are facing. They might have high mmr for their league. That is enough to face you. Generally that post you are quoting feels like a lot of qq and not a lot of well thought out arguing.

Regardless that it's possible that the matches are legit per MMR (even though I think it's unlikely that after usually playing vs plat, then winning a bunch of games, I'd magically find a pocket of silver players that have that MMR...), and that 4-5 games in a row on Shattered COULD happen...
The fact remains that the stats and profiles available are broken. It's even listed as a known issue in the official thread. And the forums not working isn't really something I could be imagining either. It gives me an error message whenever I try to post. Broken.
Now, add all that up and you think the logical conclusion is that given all the things that just broke, the 2 other things are just coincidence? Probably not, imo.

Since the latest patch the chinese server has been plagued with disconnects and laggy lag spikes from Lagarton.

Not being able to post on the Bnet forums should be seen as a good sign; they are truly atrocious. As for facing silver players, maybe the same bug that prevents their history from being recorded prevents promotions (though MMR is still updated)? That could easily explain that problem.
As for the maps...bad luck. I've had runs like that a few times, ever since beta. Just because it's the first time you've seen it doesn't mean it's a new bug. It's just statistics.

They should've just done it themselves. Maybe then we wouldn't have so many portrait whores/problems

I didn't think it was very word in terms of a blog post. Maybe if it was just a forum post in a random thread, sure...
And generally speaking, I didn't think it was devoid of content. Maybe not the content you were looking for...but there is content.

Looks like my profiles and matches played listing is working again. I just wish Bnet didn't totally bork itself after every patch.

This thread was just a big QQ about some guy who has trouble vs low rated people and has a very poor understanding of probability and statistics. I don't understand.

I was playing some 2v2 earlier and I swear one of the opposing teams was favored. I even told my partner that we were probably going to get crushed because they were favored. Instead, we won easily and got +3 points.
Ladder matches missing from your profile are nothing new though. That bug has existed forever.
