EPTI reached the station, found a crowd stirring,
A uniformed nurse, hair tossed by the breeze,
And all around her, people, a flurry
Red deer astride the rails, in morning's glow,
Heads swing at sound of train and blare of horn,
Beneath his crown, a boy his hoodie stows,
This old man, white of hair and weak of heart,
An old man lay, curled tight and foetal prone,
Samaritans acrowd, provide some aid,
And all at once, a screech, his telephone,
He lay still, face to ground in crowd's small shade
A heart without a beat, that ringing tone,
As round we crowd, him sprawled and 'lone

Totally uplifting to see so many people go to such lengths to help someone they didn't know.
