EPTWith the Buddy List, you can find out the User ID of any user on Teamliquid! The User ID is basically a number that indicates when that user first registered on TL. For instance, Waxangel was the second user to register on TL, so his User ID is 2. Liquid'Meat, the founder of the site, has his ID as 1, and so on.
While this doesn't really have much practical use, it's pretty cool to see when the veterans of the site first appeared. You know, legends like mensrea, Saro, Manifesto7, travis, and those other handsome fellows. You can also find out your own User ID with this trick.
Here's how you find out someone's User ID. Handy-dandy images are included for your convenience. Since I'm a retard and don't have Photoshop or MSPaint or anything, I can't highlight the appropriate sections of the website, but I'll do my best to make it clear what you gotta do from screencaps.

1) Click on the "Profile" tab next to the "PM" tab underneath your username in the top-left of the site.

2) You'll be brought to your Profile page, where you can customize your account settings. Ignore that, and instead click on the "Buddy List" tab.

3) Once you've entered the Buddy List page, you'll be prompted to enter a username to add as a Buddy. Enter the username of the person whose User ID you want to check. Do so, and click "Add Buddy to be taken to a confirmation screen.

4) Now that your subject has been added as a Buddy, remove them by clicking the "Remove" button.

5) You'll be taken to a new page where you're told that the user has been removed from your Buddy list. Now take a look at the URL for that page. At the end of the URL is the text "remove=<number string>". That number string is the User ID!
