First of all I'd like to give everyone reading a big hello and a thanks in advance for reading!

I am a fresh EU player who got a copy of Starcraft 2 from their friend. Turns out it wasn't their type of game. I used to play RTS like Age of Empires since I can remember, though I've played mostly FPS games. Want to brush up my RTS skills with this fancy new Starcraft.

I've played a couple of matches against the A.I. to try out the different races. Seems I'll be going for Zerg right now and try to dedicate myself to it. I've read that Zerg is a bit under appreciated because it's harder to play but that just adds more fun really. A game should never be easy.

Okay. So enough about how bad I am. I'd like to have people to play with so I can improve and learn from them. Would love any strategy advice and recommendations for things to watch.

I'm from Holland, so my time zone is GMT +1 and I usually play during the evening (After 6PM). Other info: Male, 22. Been gaming since I got my NES. My in-game name is Vynsticus and my character code is 661. Hope to see you on because I want to get started on learning everything about this game!

hi, I'm a silver league EU player that just played the game about a month myself. Im up in about 50 ladder games or so now. Got a little experince from warcraft 3 and original starcraft, But in short, im not realy good. I'm from Sweden and usualy play after 7 in the evenings. Let's play a game or two just for fun ^^

There is numerous zerg guides in the strategy forum. The most recent is from Spanishiwa - Spanishiwa's No Gas FE ZvX
Good against every race.

To learn about SC2 I would recomend you the SC guru Sean "Day9" Plott. Amazing stuff if you have time to see it.

I think that this is good for a start.^^ Don't forget to browse TL Streams.

Thanks a bunch! Will visit that thread to get some people on my list. I just want to get into it right away and play some people to improve my game.

Directions to guides are always appreciated. :D Will read up alot of them to get as many builds in my head as possible. Pretty good reader so it should be fine. Have already been watching some Day9 videos. Have been paying extra attention to the Mechanics videos because as long as your mechanics are solid, you don't need micro as much.

Yeah. Day9 recommended me to check out Team Liquid because it's pretty much THE SC2 community/strategy site online. Love the responses and help I'm getting.

Well I don't let video games get to my head, haha. I keep my cool and don't mind losses at all. I'm just playing to have fun.

Have to give credit to EdSlyB for showing me Spanishiwa's awesome build. I've been trying it over and over and I'm starting to get it down. What other builds are also viable? Right now, I know Speedling Expand, 2 Hatch Muta and Spanishiwa's No Gas FE.
