Hey
In 1 week I will fly to Soul for 2 weeks. The reson for my visit is starcraft broodwar of course. After playing this game for like 12 years I finally get to see the pros playing in front of an audience, wooohoo :D
I would like to ask anyone who has visited Korea or is from SK itself some questions.
First, where can I see the schedule when matches will be and where they are? Do I need to have a Ticket or anything to go and watch it? How can I play some SC/BW in Korea myself, I really want to do this. I play a lot of Koreans already but its so often with lag, so getting to play them without lag and them suspecting me beeing chinese will be great.
Finally can you suggest anything else to visit or see or expirience during my 2 week stay besides watching pros and playing myself? Is there any place outside Soul I should really visit (I'm not so into visiting DMZ btw)
Thx for any help anyone can give me. Maybe I see you there at a proleague match ;-)

I actually read that link and tried to find out what games are where but it couldnt find anything. Also the TL calendar hasn't anything for that time frame.
How does the PCBang work? Go in, give money, play starcraft? Does that cost much?
lol, i just saw that this link has the ticketquestion answered im so stupid haha. I watched all the pics and studied the subway map, damnit.

The TL Calendar is usually updated a week in advance. The MSL / MSL Proleague games are at the MBC Studio, and the OSL / OSL Proleague games are the OGN studio. You should be able to figure it out from the calendar and that link.
Go in, take a card. Sit at any computer. Enter the card number and log on. You can usually download and install whatever you want. I always installed ICCup launcher and it always worked fine. When you finish, show them the card number and pay your balance. It costs $1.00 - $2.50 / hr depending where you go. The average place outside of kangnam is typically $1.00 / hr.

Make sure you let the ICCup admins know you're going to be playing in Korea on your (normally) non-Korean account, or you risk getting banned.

Ok cool, so I will check the TL calendar when im there. What do you mean with MSL and OSL proleague? That the individual league is in the respective center was obvious to me but the proleague is what kills my brain. If i check Oz vs SKT http://www.teamliquid.net/calendar/2011/04/#event_4211 I really can't figure out where it is.
Looks like that PCBang thing is really easy and cheap (here I would pay like 5$/h).
Thanks a lot for your infos.

P.S. It's spelled Seoul.
Just to add to what's been said already - there are often non-SC esports leagues going on, but OGN's site calendar is rubbish, and Fomos doesn't always post about them. So just ask the staff onsite (you'll need to practice some Korean for this.) about getting an idea of the schedule. A lot of the other events are really good fun depending upon what's on. You won't need a ticket for anything, just go, have fun, and don't make a nuisance of yourself. From what I can see the new security guards are just as grumpy as the old ones at OGN lol.
P.P.S. The Oz/SKT game is at the MBC Game Hero Center in LOOX. Check the guide Chill linked you to for details of how to get there. I recommend arriving earlier if you want a seat since the venue is far smaller than OGN's studio at Yongsan. I will probably be there since I have an errand to run, but I won't be reporting.
