I just recently got back in to playing a few days ago and honestly I can already feel that my skill level just dropped way way down, and my strategies are outdated and easily countered. I played the 1 game it took to get into master league back in january, but now Im losing to diamond and even a few platinum players on the ladder and in customs.
So I was wondering, can anyone catch me up to speed on what a couple of the most viable strategies are ATM? As you can tell by my avatar, I'm Protoss, and honestly am pretty lost ATM.
Terran:
When I was playing last, everyone was winning games with 1 gate fe builds on almost any map and alot of terrans were having trouble vs it. I've been trying it lately but it just feels like Terran know it's coming and know how to react to better. What are the most popular vT strategies ATM? I'm having slot of trouble with terrans that just mass marine Thor or banshee marine, and the ht nerf seems pretty fucking heavy especially dealing with large amounts of Vikings. I definitely feel like an old horse when I'm warping in HTs to defend an expo only to realize they won't have mana.
Zerg:
I've been playing alot of games on taldarim altar and backwater basin and it just seems incredibly hard to secure a third on these maps. Everyone was having trouble with mutalisks when I played, so the Phoenix buff is pretty helpful. Sometimes I'm just sitting there and go god damn where'd all these Phoenix come from.
I've been keeping up with a few of the major tournaments and see lots of people taking an early expansion and defending with lots of ff. I've been trying to do this but I just feel like mechanics are too rusty. Also I'm having trouble transitioning and holding map control because whenever I fe Zerg just takes a fast third or try's to overwhelm with roach/ ling.
Protoss
honestly I just did a Korean 4 gate in all my pvp but it just seems like everyone knows how to counter it now and knows what to look for. Getting really tired of getting 4 gated every game I don't cheese too.
I'll try and post a few replays when I get home, but I greatly appreciate any help anyone can give me. Thanks TL!
