I don't have (imo) what's needed to make a decent thread for the SC2 forums so I'll start this here and if it works out I'll remake this as a thread.
When I'm trying to explain to somebody who has never played starcraft how great of a competitive sport it can be, I always do well up to the point where I need to show them example of exciting games. Assuming the person has 0 knowledge of starcraft, what are some good games (hopefully on youtube) to show them? It needs to be done by a caster who makes the action seem intuitive/easy to follow and the games need to be fairly action packed. Do any of you guys have a few games you like to share with your non starcraft playing friends? I'm working on a list, I'd like to compile something here to make the process of finding games both easier for myself as well as the rest of tl.
Also...I dont know how to say this without causing drama, but I'll just say that some casters are a bit too....well...nerdy for a mainstream audience. so let that factor into your picks. (or dont, w/e) Damn, if only Khaldor had been casting in english from the start...
there are a few threads about this, but the major problem is that, of course, gom has locked up the vods so it's impossible to show your friends these awesome games.
maybe the idra tribute video on gomtv/youtube? lennock vs clide nada vs....clide was it? the one where he's left with a few supply depots and a weird endgame situation
TOP vs fruitdealer (zomg ultra timing) great wall of hongun
TLO vs Liquid'Nazgul on Youtube has (edit: almost) over 1 million views, and for good reason too. I think it has casts by Husky, HD, and Day9, though with varying view counts.
It is literally the most epic game of beta and still one of the most epic games of SC2 ever played. Honestly, it was the one game that drew me into the SC2 competitive scene.
