EPTBefore it came out I did not even know how compeititve it was let a lone video games in general. There is a whole world of video game tournaments from Starcraft to Halo.
I really like how they set of the leagues and ladders online. When I first started playing when it came out last summer I just played the campagin through and then learned about the ranked matches.
I started playing as the other races just to try them out but since I learned with the Terran I figured it would be much easier to just continue with them. I sucked starting out.
But then I started watching some videos on Youtube and even studied a for more insight.
Then after some more practice I was able to climb the ladders in 1v1 and then tried out the other ladders. It was a little tough because playing with other players that might not be good can keep you from ranking higher.
I recall playing with some players that wanted to get advanced units quickly like Carriers. But either way it has been fun so far.
Look forward to playing some more matches and even better my skill at the game.
