In sc2 we just cant make decent power ranks, theres just so many ppl jumping in and killing the tops, its possible, but would hardly be accurate.

But I think we could do one for casters and streamers.

guys like Day9 Tastosis Diggity incontrol, and many others, sadly I dont know even half of the good ones out there, so can anyone enlighten me, show me your top 10 casters, and the best ATM not of all times.

Wouldnt work in a million years people just have opinions on whats better (yes people have diff opinions about bw players but it doesnt change the fact there are stats to show who is technically superior)

This is the best idea I've ever heard. Just make it a popularity contest where everyone ranks their top 10: 1st place gets 10 points, 2nd place gets 9 points, etc, and then at the end compile the real top 10. And then at the end Incontrol makes fun of everyone on some podcast and we all win.

to me theres 2 different types of casters, theres guys like tasteosis and day9, who along with entertainment bring a huge amount of starcraft knowledge and experience. then their's the pure entertainment guys for instance husky and hd, who are obviously hugely successful but dont really analyse as much as get excited, but still, their casts are fun to watch. for me the top casters are tasteosis, day9, tb, and psy, but thats because they're the only ones i ever really watch.

Power rank isn't popularity rank else Bisu would be #1 and Jaedong #2 every week. And the last few community Power Ranks have been disasters; it takes one person or a group of well informed people to make the call, that's why it's so prestigious and takes a spot on the right.

Though if it did go though we could get the BW forum to all vote for fedor, and have everyone watch Korean people eat ^_^

Oh and I need to mention Cecil from WC3 (Cecil TV), he helped me grow up with RTS games.

Oh lord most of the casters do not play the game well enough to qualify for such a ranking system. The ones that do surely don't outrank ANY professional player and as such those players should have priority.

I don't want to name any names but I don't think one caster has played SC2 in months -_-

I think my idea at the time of that post is that casters should not be ranked at all because almost none of them plays enough to REALLY know what they're talking about. I guess you could have a skill category in the ranking system that weighs heavily against the casters who do not play enough.

Yeah, I really enjoy hirosue's 2v2 stream and Sayle's commentary. Both of them are really keeping the bw community strong. Would also like to see Koll stream some more as well!
